A message to our advertisers

As a new decade begins, we are excited to offer you the best choice in reaching suburban Atlanta

consumers. Our dynamic portfolio of two daily newspapers, 22 weekly newspapers, four magazines

and respective online news sites are welcomed into the homes of over 400,000 readers each week in

10 suburban Atlanta counties. Our ability to produce local niche content and deliver micro targeted

advertising to a captive audience is what sets us apart.

Our flagship newspaper, the Marietta Daily Journal, has covered Cobb County through the good and

bad times in our community and country. The MDJ print circulation increased in 2010, while our

vibrant online and mobile sites witnessed record traffic. Our newly launched digital edition contains

several upgraded features that have significantly improved the online reading experience.

The Cherokee Tribune is still the prime source for local news. Published five days a week, it has be-

come the standard for news in the burgeoning suburb of Cherokee County.

Our weekly newspaper group, Neighbor Newspapers, boast the largest print circulation in suburban

Atlanta reaching more than 375,000 homes each week. Our 22 titles, covering communities in 10

counties, is the source for hyper-local news, high school sports and guides to local events and activi-

ties.

We continue to witness outstanding success and acceptance of our four magazines led by Cobb Life

published 9 times each year, Cherokee Life published bi-monthly, and Sandy Springs/Dunwoody Life

published quarterly.

In addition to our newspapers and magazines, we constantly push the digital envelope with enhance-

ments to our websites resulting in record traffic. In 2011, we will launch a variety of digital products

that will benefit advertisers and help us expand our reach like never before.

Although economic uncertainty may persist in 2011, our publications and products will continue to

be a steady and dependable source for our customers. Like many companies, we have learned to do

more with less and will share these savings with our customers by not raising advertising rates in

2011. We hope you see this as a reflection of not only the understanding of economic conditions,

but also a reflection of the confidence we have in our products.

We look forward to serving your advertising needs in 2011.

• Include all supporting graphics and photos. Because the resolution of an embedded or linked image is critical to a high quality final product it needs to be at least 300 dpi, in CMYK, saved as a TIFF or EPS AND included in the same folder with the artwork. If you are unsure whether sending art is necessary, go ahead and send it.

• Create your artwork according to our dieline templates. Our preference is to have all text outlined.• Minimum font size is 4 points for positive and reverse copy.• If your design requires a graduated screen (gradient), 4% is the minimum dot percentage rather than graduating from 0%. Please be

aware that this affects drop shadows as well.

BACKSIDE PRINTING•All backside printing can only be in black•Because backside printing is on the adhesive, avoid using gradients or designs that cover a large portion of the label.
