usage.scenario.1

Marco, publisher of photography magazine„We are publishing photography magazine since 2005. We are a nichepublisher and still quite succesful, but our consumers’ habbits are changingtowards media consumation via mobile phones and tablets. We werelooking into digital publishing solutions, but they are either expensive to set-up, require additional manpower to handle - or both. Due to crysis in media and decreased profits, we are able to invest only limited amount ofmoney and no additional people into the project.“

We can help Marco…a) Replica app: Marco can take PDF files which his team is using for print, add galleries/videos/

sound and publish through his magazine-branded app for Apple, Android and Windows devices. Cheap and easy, no additional resources needed. He can even do it by himself.

b) Advanced digital edition app: after Marco ’graduates’ in digital magazines, he can take it stepfurther. Import text/photos/video, and let MediaWorks’ automatic layout function createseparate layout for each screen size. Besides custom graphics for each device, Marco’s magazine app now has a social hub as well as ads/content customization to each user.

His investment? 290-450€ per month per magazine, iOS, Android and Windows platforms, no upfront setup fees

Andreas, fair’s deputy director„It is difficult to compete with gigantic fairs and their resources in CentralEurope. On the other hand, we are still passionate about our business andbelieve fairs have future, both in B2B and B2C. We have a mobile app since2012, but only with general info. It is difficult to update it for each separate fair. We would like to offer our visitor a central point to receive informationabout our exhibitors and look into their offers after event as well.“

Our solution for Andreas:Branded app for digital brochures: Quick and simple – his partners upload PDFs of their catalogs(which they already use for print). Add galleries, videos or links if wanted. Fair-visitors will have allbrochures in their phones or tablets, no need to carry dozens of kilograms of paper around. Andreas can offer this service to his clients as part of marketing service or as additional income. He will notneed to reprogram app for each event and will save some trees in the process as well!

And this is very affordable!700-1.200€ per month or per event, depending on size, number of clients, etc.

App can also be used by shopping centres, tourist organizations, marketing agencies, etc.

usage.scenario.3

Yvonne, fashion blogger„My blog is giving me nice pocket money for 3 years now, but I also love itbecause of the creativity it has awoken in me. My readers want quick fashionrecommendations, and this is what attracted them to my site, but they alsolike articles. They love to sit down with fashion magazines, such as Elle, Graziaor Marie Claire. I have quality ’magazine-like’ content, but am unable to affordcosts of printing, distribution, mailing. Unfortunately, publishing my ownfashion magazine will stay an unfullfilled dream for me.“

We can make Yvonne’s dream come true!Create digital magazine from web content: Yvonne, together with millions of other bloggers, cancreate her own magazine app for Apple, Android and Windows devices. She will connect her blog orRSS feed to our platform and use automatic layouting system to create appealing articles. No additional graphic design or coding required, and for price of a bra, she will have her own magazine-apps on all mobile platforms, extend reach and improve her users’ experience.

Yvonne’s dreams are priceless, but this one will not break the bank… 25-40€ per month (ad-supported or ad-free edition)Note: Yvonne is not getting all features as premium digital magazine apps (scenario 1)

„We are extremely small editorial team (well, almost one-woman-band) anddespite our readers love technology, our only expansion to digital publishingwas website with 2-3 news stories per day. I like MediaWorks platformbecause it is sooo simple to use and we can literally create a magazine in couple of hours, with additional multimedia content.“

(Janja Adanič, Editor BRAVO)

„Our magazine is built around photo community and therefore we have tonsof additional content – mostly photos - which is thrown away as it can not be used in print edition. On the other hand, we have only one third of a designerper month and can not afford any extra work. MediaWorks allows us to builddigital magazine with additional content for our readers with existing crew.“

(Igor Rosina, Editor Digitalna Kamera)
