    Foreword

We are daily invited into the presence of the

Eucharistic Lord. He welcomes everyone from every part of theworld and at every time of the day. His only requirement is to

believe he is present. Jesus is meek and humble. He does not turn

    anyone away from his presence.

Online Adoration ChapelsSometimes in our busy schedules or circumstances in life we

are unable to get to the chapel to make our visit to the BlessedSacrament. Spiritual communion is lifting up our minds and hearts to

God with the same intention of receiving Jesus into our minds andhearts as if we were present to Jesus in the Tabernacle. The Church,

in the Official Enchiridion of Indulgenceseven has special prayer forthis spiritual act and has attached a special indulgence to it. All we

need do is use our own words in expressing to Jesus how we wouldlove to be united with him in the Blessed Sacrament and to receive

the graces as if we were actually receiving him. St. Thomas Aquinasexpresses this as a real desire to be united with Jesus.

Below are three online chapels you can visit at any timeduring the day or night to make a spiritual visit to Jesus, who will

    always welcome you.

    Our Eucharistic Good Shepherd

What a great blessing it is to be able to come, in faith, intothe presence of Our Eucharistic Lord so often. We come to adore

him, but also to remain close to him, who is sent by the Father to bewith us. It is his love for us. He is here and he desires for us to be

here.We find ourselves at rest and at Peace in the humility that

this King, who dies that we might have life. He desired to eat thePaschal meal so that we could have his Paschal Life.

Do this in memory of me. That is all he asks of us is to bewilling to be obedient and humble. The Lord looks on the lowly, the

haughty he knows from afar.Come Holy Spirit, quieten my mind and heart, so that I can

listen to your voice speaking within me.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be my GoodShepherd!

Scripture Suggestions: Jer. 17:9, Heb. 3:12, Mk. 7:21

    Silence All Mankind

When we speak of the Sacred Heart of Jesus what arewe referring to? We are speaking of the physical heart of the

humanity of the Son of God and united with the divinity of theWord; we are referring to the heart of Jesus Christ, the Word made

flesh. Jesus is the heart of God. Jesus is the Word of God. When wecome to Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament we are coming to the Heart

of God.We pray to be silent during this time before the Lord

so that he can speak and we can listen. This is not easy, since ourlower self is often fighting against our higher desires to be with the

Lord. We can quieten these unruly desires by the living Spirit ofGod. We do this by making acts of faith, hope and love.

    1

By making these essential acts we direct all of ourstrength to the Lord who is present to us. By making these acts we

come to know his tender love and care for our souls. These acts arethe very life of our soul, especially when they are united with an

active love.We can be sure we are speaking to Jesus and not to

ourselves when the fruit of our prayer brings him thanks and praise.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be the silence of mymind and heart!

    Scripture Suggestions: 1Sam 3:10, Ps. 10:17,Ps. 71:2

1Faith, hope, and love, are the essential acts of our soul.

They have their only object God himself. THese acts are the eternal

aspirations of our soul. We must guard them as precious, since theyare the eternal gifts of God to our souls and they always lead us

    directly to him.

    Word of Eternal Life

Our presence here before Jesus is ouracknowledgement of our love for him and our belief that he is the

Word of eternal life sent by the Father. He has no beginning. He hasno end. Jesus truly dwells with us. What does it mean to be eternal?

It means that our acts do not terminate nor come into being. As humans we have grown up in time. Everything we

    experience as human beings are the things around us. Our parents,family, friends; the places weve been, the jobs weve accomplished;

these all have the characteristic of limitation by before and after. With God it is different. He simply IS,

    2in the truest

sense. Jesus came that we could accept this gift of his grace so thatwe could live his eternal life. We offer eternal thanksgiving to God

    for this gift.

Prayer Prompt: Heart of Jesus, be our eternal love!Scripture Suggestions: Ps. 90:4, 2 Pe 3:8, Jn. 1:1-2

2God IS as the source of all LIFE,and EXISTENCE. When

Moses asked God whom he should say sent him to Pharaoh, God

gave Moses his Name, I AM WHO AM (Ex. 3:14)

    Joy in the Lord

Joy is the result of obtaining something we love. Ourjoy reflect the treasure of our heart. Jesus promised those who were

pure in heart that they shall see God. The closer we monitor ourheart for the joys we keep, the better we can tell how close we are

reflecting only God in the center where he belongs. When we keepJesus present with us, we can be sure that he will keep us close to the

Spirit and the Father. There are several kinds of joy, but essentiallywe have joys that belong to the Kingdom of Heaven, and other joys

which can easily lead us astray from the Kingdom. Jesus teaches ushow to use both of them to make everything work together for the

good of those who love God. If we want to see God one day, JesusSpirit will teach us how to get there safely without having to follow

    dangerous paths to get there.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be my joy!

Scripture Suggestions: Ps. 4:8, Ps. 34:6, Ps. 47:2

    Only In God

What do I think of when I desire to live only in God?Isnt everything in God? Yes, but everything is in God, but not

everything wants to be in God. When we come before theEucharistic Lord, here in the Blessed Sacrament, our hearts cry out

to him. It is like we are saying, my soul rests in God alone, fromwhom comes my salvation. (Ps. 62:2) Jesus hears our heart speak

louder than our words. If he is not in our heart, our words will havelittle meaning. That is why Jesus told the Pharisees that their hearts

were far from him. We do not have to live this way, since Jesuswants to be our eternal friend. He is our friend, not because we have

done something to deserve it, but because he has done everything tobring it about.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, be my salvation!

Scripture Suggestions: Ps. 62:2, Rom. 12:1, Col. 3:17

All Things Are Possible in God

What could have been more wonderful for us to haveobtained in our life than to have met God. Yet, here we are before

him. It is a humbling experience to be with God. To be with Jesus issomething of the impossibility of all possibility. It was only his free

gift that he created us.3Not only has he brought us into being out of

his infinite love, but he did this for only one purpose, so that we

could share that life of eternal love with the Father, Son and Spirit. Not only on earth, but also in Heaven.

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, my God and my All!

    Scripture Suggestions: Gen. 18:14, Matt. 19:26,Lk. 1:37

3St. John says that all things were created thru Him and not

one thing came to be except thru Him. (Jn. 1:1-3)

    Peace to This House

Catholic Eucharistic Adoration online:Transfiguration Parish, Marietta, Ga.

As you enter a house, wish it peace. 13 If the house is

worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return toyou. (Matt. 10:12 NAB)

Reflection IJesus promise peace to those who follow him

and do his will. Peace and humble of heart is a grace from the HolySpirit.

4There may be times when we are frustrated by the

circumstances we find in our lives. This can come about thru thosewho reject the message of Peace that Jesus gives.

Reflection II The Peace that comes from Jesus is both our

gift to others and Jesus gift to others thru us. He chooses to use theweak things of this world to do his will.

Reflection IIIIf the house we enter is worthy of Peace we

must share that with the house we enter. Have you ever been in aplace where you were physically and you were at Peace, but other

were not at Peace with you? He asked his disciples once thru thesewords: Do you also want to leave? (Jn. 6:67 NAB)

Reflection IV Peace I leave with you. My Peace I give to

you. (Jn. 14:27 NAB) Christ Peace can only come from Christ5andhis Holy Spirit.

4Jesus came to bring Peace to all. The Eucharist is THE

tangible evidence of Gods Peace.5This is the T in Tradition, which was handed down by the

    Apostles.

    Pray For Peace

ReflectionIJesus asked that we keep salt in ourselves, so thatwe could keep peace among us. (Mk. 9:50 NAB) What does this

mean to keep salt in ourselves. We know that salt has the property ofseasoning food. It is known to every culture.

    6St. Augustine refers to

the Martyrs examples as the salt that the Church contains withinherself. With the example of the Martyrs the Church witnesses to an

    other-worldly example7.

Reflection I Nothing is perfect in this world. If it were, we

would still desire God just as much, since his perfection is greaterthan this worlds perfections. A heart that is filled with the love of

God cannot settle in this world. Our heart wants to find its fullresolutions to all its longings in that rest that only God promised to

give to us, remain in me. (Jn. 15:4 NAB)Reflection IIIIn order to give Christ Peace we first have to

have Christ Peace. He promised that those who believe in him, riversof living water would flow from him. (Jn. 7:38 NAB) So we have his

promise and his Spirit to lead us to Him.Reflection IVWe can have his Peace when we one with Him.

We can be one with Him if we are living the truth in love. (Eph.4:15 NAB) As we live the truth, by his grace we become one with

Him. As we believe in his presence here in the Blessed Sacrament,we are transformed into his Truth.

    6Augustine,Exposition on the Psalms, 51-72.7ibid.

    Jesus Lives

ReflectionI God lives in every person, since we are made inthe image and likeness of God, we have a special role to play inGods Creation. Grow and Multiply, he told creation in the

beginning. That growth came quickly at Pentecost, when God choseto give us the Spirit of Truth. Praising God for this Spirit should be

our work here before Him. The Spirit calls us to the Word of theFather.

Reflection IIWe can experience Jesus life in us when wegive sincere thanks to the Father for sending us his Son. The Spirit of

Jesus is always grateful. He will not lead us on the wrong path,Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the

light of life. (Jn. 8:12 NAB)Reflection IIIThe Psalmist relies on God for his Peace, since

he knows that God will be his strength at all times: In peace I shallboth lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me secure. (Ps.

4:9 NAB) How do we experience this care that God gives to us? It isin everything, yet thru the Peace that Christ gives it is most evident,

since it is the Peace that comes from the Father to us, then goes outto the world.

Reflection IVFor in him we live and move, and have ourbeing. St. Paul tells us. (Acts 17:28 NAB) If we were not in Him we

would not be, we would not live, we would not move. All thesethings move us, but nothing moves Him.

    Seek Peace and Pursue It

Reflection IThe Psalmist tells us to seek peace and pursue it.(Ps. 34:15 NAB) Allowing Jesus to show us his Peace, gives us an

opportunity to love Him and to honor the Father. When we arebefore Jesus in the Eucharist, something puts us in peace in the

depths of our hearts. His Spiritconsoles those who search for hiswill in their lives.

Reflection IIIn the humility of Jesus we are called to followhim to the Father. His life was Peace and his death for us brought us

eternal Peace that the world cannot give. The Lord proclaimspeaceto his people.

Reflection III Pursue Peace, live in Peace, and you willbecome like the Peace you pursue and live. He calls us here to be

with him, but he is not alone, for the Father is always with him. Weare not alone for he is with us until the end of time.

Reflection IVJesus, thank you for bringing us into yourfamily thru baptism, for strengthening us with your Spirit and calling

us to walk strengthened by your humanity, thru your Eucharist.

    The Lord Proclaims Peace

    (Ps. 85:9 NAB)

Reflection I When we come into Jesus presence He

welcomes us in the Fathers name. It is to us that He was sent so thatwe could return to the Father. No one knows who the Father is

except the Son and anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.(Lk. 10:22)

Reflection IIWhat is the Peace that Christ proclaims? It is thePeace that we are His eternal children. We are the adopted children

of God. Here we are in His presence. He has come to meet us to leadus to our eternal home.

Reflection IIIHe proclaimed Peace to his enemies, but theyrejected His message. Grace strengthens us to surrender to his

Kingdom and His Spirit.Reflection IVJesus, without you we can do nothing. While

you are with us, show us the way to the Father.

    Justice and Peace Shall Kiss

    (Ps. 85:11 NAB)

Reflection IHe is Our Justice. He is Our Peace. In Justice He

assumed our nature. The Word became flesh is Our Peace. Justiceand Peace shall Kiss. Jesus is Our Emmanuel.

Reflection II When the Word became flesh he brought his

Kingdom to Earth, so that we could join his Kingdom in Heaven. Heis Our Heaven on Earth.

Reflection III Jesus will kiss those faithful disciples who

humble themselves to receive the Fathers gift of Pentecost.

Reflection IVPeace I leave with you; my peace I give toyou. (Jn. 14:27 NAB) Christ Peace is a spiritual Peace and He

gives it thru His Spirit. Alleluia!

    My Yoke Is Easy

    (Matt. 11:29 NAB)

Reflection I Jesus referred to the burden of being a disciple

as a yoke, which is similar to the yoked Ox when they are treadingthe fields. Jesus says that his yoke is easy; that is, not difficult to

bear. Jesus fits his yoke to each of us so that we will not lose heart.Reflection II To show the kindness of Jesus in fitting his

yoke to us we recall the tenderness of God: Can a mother forget herinfant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should

she forget, I will never forget you. (Isa. 49:15 NAB)Reflection IIIJesus is present to us now in the same way he

will be present to us in eternity. The Word of God doesnt change, nor will his tender care for each of his adopted children change.

Reflection IVJesus, present here in your Eucharisticpresence, lead me to the Father and guide me with your Spirit of

    Love.

    Volume II

Into Your Hands I Commend My Spirit

The more we follow Jesus the more he will ask us to

abandon ourselves to his plans for us. He gives to us the grace weneed to follow him every day. In all of the circumstances of our lives

he is with us until the end of time. (Matt. 28:20) How do we learnthis self-surrender except thru abandoning ourselves into the

unknown? We should not fear the unknown. We should not fear theincomprehensible. He is Love. We have been given the faith to

follow Jesus along this road, just as surely as we get on any highwayduring the day or we hear the cars passing by on the road near us. In

the saw way, the path Jesus marks out for each of us can only becrossed thru faith. The world cannot see this way. We know this

because we have all been called from sin into Gods light. (1 Pt. 2:9)It is an interior journey that come to us thru the working of the Holy

Spirit.9Just as there are many types of roads, so there are many

gifts but the same Spirit working in all. (1 Cor. 12:11)

Prayer Prompt: Sacred Heart of Jesus, I give myself to you!

    Scripture Suggestions: Lk. 23:46, Ps. 33:4, 1 Cor. 12:11

9The Holy Spirit keeps all of Gods works done thru the

    members in eternal unity.
