STARTING YOUR CLEARALIGNER JOURNEY

An appointment is scheduledin our office to issue youraligners, bond attachments toyour teeth and begin wearingyour elastics. At thisappointment you will beintroduced to DentalMonitoring. Dental monitoringis orthodontic technologythat is compatible with yoursmartphone. You take photosof your teeth using thesoftware. The images thenget sent to your Orthodontistwho checks how your teethare moving and gives youinstructions to ensure yourtreatment remains on track.

KEEPING YOUR TEETHSTRAIGHT FOR LIFE

To ensure you can enjoyyour new smile for the restof your life, we provide youwith upper and lower bondedretainer wires, which arebonded with tooth coloureddental resin on the insidesurfaces of your six frontteeth. Clear thin, removablenight time retainers are alsocustom- fabricated to holdthe rest of your teeth inalignment.

ATTACHMENTS & ELASTICS Invisalign attachments are a series of small, clear ridgesbonded on to certain teeth to help engage the aligner andensure the teeth move effectively. The attachments remain onthe teeth for the duration of treatment and are then gentlypolished right off on completion. Without the aligners in, theattachment bumps are virtually invisible. Your treatment may also require the use of elastics to correctthe biting relationship between the upper and lower teeth. Theelastic bands are clear latex material and can be worn full timeor at night, depending on your bite.
