Meet Harland Russell, LCDC President
Harland Russell was elected LCDC President at theLCDC Annual Meeting on January 18 and will serve atwo-year term. Harland is a Site Development Specialistfor the multi-discipled engineering firm, George ButlerAssociates, Inc. (GBA). He served on the Lansing CityCouncil for 16 years and as Chair of LCDC’sInfrastructure Committee and Vice-President of theExecutive Committee. Harland is currently serving on theKCADC Board of Directors representing LeavenworthCounty for 2019 – 2020.
Tonganoxie Business Park Goes Vertical
Expected to be completed this summer, Unilock Kansas’ new building at theTonganoxie Business Park is seeing construction progress. Unilock Kansas isthe Business Park’s first tenant and was recruited to Tonganoxie by LCDC.Unilock is North America's premier manufacturer of concrete interlocking pavingstones and segmental wall products.

QuikTrip Headed to Lansing
By the end of 2019, the sale of the Leavenworth County Cooperative site at1205 North Main to QuikTrip Corporation will be final. The Co-Op expects tobreak ground on its new location early this summer. QuikTrip has not announcedits construction schedule for the new Lansing location at this time.
Aldi Expands Store By 30%
The Aldi’s grocery store located at 1217 North Main inLansing is expanding by 30% to meet the growing needsof the community. Construction will begin this spring.
