Duncan PritchardManaging DirectorDuncan works closely with the Senior Leadership Team to drive the growth and strategic development of Commercial Express.
His focus is to establish the long term vision of the company and ensure the right people are recruited for the job and thereby deliver our promise to our agents. Duncan is an entrepreneur with a passion for business, whose qualities include leadership, forward thinking and determination.
The Commercial Express Senior Leadership Team are responsible for the smooth running of the business and the implementation of the short term strategy.
Their duties include the continual development of our insurance offering, the training and coaching of our people and ensuring our high levels of customer service are maintained at all times. The SLT have one goal, which is for Commercial Express to become the best MGA in the industry.
Kellie StephensDirector of OperationsKellie has worked in the insurance industry for over 26 years, starting at General Accident in personal lines underwriting. Her career has spanned personal lines, commercial lines underwriting, claims and credit control with Norwich Union, Aviva, Crawfords and Axa. Her passion is leading her team to provide an exceptional service to our customers.
Senior Leadership.
Kristian Bartlett Head of Sales & MarketingKristian has over 20 years experience working within the insurance industry. Kristian oversees our team of Account Managers and his passion has always been to invest quality time in people, to drive growth and achieve record numbers. Kristian’s goal is to deliver productivity and performance, whilst ensuring the personal approach and high levels of service remain.
Richard Parkes IT ManagerRichard has 18 years in the insurance industry and 23 years in total in IT, including managing an operational support team in a data centre. His responsibilities include managing the IT team consisting of both IT Support and Developers, also ensuring the service availability and development of our IT systems to support the business as it continues to grow. He enjoys constantly improving our systems to support our business operations and broker needs whilst developing his team to become a first class department.
Jonathan HillDigital Learning ManagerJonathan Hill is our Digital Learning Manager, responsible for designing, creating and maintaining the eLearning courses found on CE Learning Online. Jonathan has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry and for the past 10 years has specialised in Learning and Development. A qualified lecturer and CIPD member, Jonathan has now stepped out of the classroom to become an expert instructional designer. He brings a sense of humour and adventure to his courses to create memorable learning experiences.
Helen HolyoakeRisk, Compliance & Agency ManagerHelen has a wealth of insurance experience, with 24 years in the industry on both personal lines and SME products. Her responsibilities at CE include overseeing risk and compliance, and management of the Agency team. Helen was drawn to the CE value and vision to grow as a business and wanted to work for a company where she felt she could add worth. In her spare time, she enjoys long walks with her dog.

Account Managers.The purpose of our Account Managers’ role is to invest a considerable amount of time in understanding your business and supporting you to develop both existing and new income streams.
Our Account Managers are ambassadors for our brand and their main focus is to build further on the relationships they have already nurtured with each of our agents.
Phil Lackie Senior Account Manager (South West & Midlands)
Over the course of his 20 year career, Phil has worked in claims, underwriting and broking. He specialises in building and maintaining useful relationships and providing solutions quickly and effectively. As Account Manager at Commercial Express, Phil is responsible for relationship management and agency development in South West, South Wales and Midlands.

Paul Ingleby Account Manager (London & South East)
Paul began working in insurance in 1989 and moved over to Commercial in 2005 after a collective 13 years with Zurich. Life as a BDM started when he first joined Commercial Express in August 2009, covering a panel of over 300 agents, progressing to Senior BDM before moving on in May 2014. Paul rejoined Commercial Express in January 2016. Paul most enjoys the freedom and flexibility to develop his agents, to manage and maintain them in line with their goals and requirements as a CE Account Manager.

Angela ThompsonAccount Manager (Northern Ireland)Angela has been with Commercial Express since August 2017, but has worked in the insurance industry for over 17 years. She started off her career as a Commercial Underwriter then progressed to a Lead Underwriting role, before joining Commercial Express as an Account Manager for Northern Ireland. Angela enjoys helping her brokers grow successful accounts, whilst maintaining strong working relationships.

Ian BarnettAccount Manager (North Wales, Northern England & Scotland)Ian Barnett has been in the insurance industry for 15 years. He has a wealth of experience in managing and developing both existing and new broker agencies, having worked at Bollington Underwriting and Personal Assurance. Ian was drawn to working with Commercial Express because of the company’s ambitious growth plans that value staff and clients.

Erin NichollsTechnical UnderwriterErin specialised in Commercial Combined underwriting and was renowned for her ability to build authentic and lasting partnerships with agents. Her previous industry-experience at Zurich gives her a methodical approach to underwriting and she continually strives to do her utmost to discuss needs and find effective solutions.
Tom CartwrightSenior Technical UnderwriterTom has over five years experience working in the insurance industry, including over three years experience in catering insurance. He is very passionate about providing a first class service and building successful relationships with agents. Tom is extremely approachable and encourages any agent to pick up the phone for any queries relating to his products.
Tom Bolstridge Head of UnderwritingTom previously held the position of Regional Trading Underwriting Manager with Arista. With over 17 years experience in the insurance industry, having also worked for AIG. He believes strong leadership is vital to the success of an insurance company and is very important to him. Communication is a must also, and he likes to try and create a collaborative and open environment as this will lead to a place where people will want to work and develop their own careers.

Simon Rowley Renewals & Service Underwriting Team LeaderSimon looks after the day to day management of the Commercial Express underwriting team and has over a decade of experience in the industry. Simon has been with the company over five years, previously in the role of the Senior Catering Underwriter, where his wealth of knowledge and flexible underwriting approach has contributed to the great success of the Catering and Caravan schemes.
Louise Caffery Underwriting Service ManagerLouise has been working in the insurance industry for the last 20 years, her experience is largely in Technical Claims however since joining Commercial Express has thoroughly enjoyed the transition from Claims to Underwriting. Louise’s favourite part of her role is helping the development and growth of her department and ensuring that we are offering a first-class service to our customers.
Luke HansonNew Business Underwriting Team LeaderLuke began working in the insurance industry in 2005, previously working at Aon/Footman James and most recently The Insurance Factory. Luke brings both knowledge and experience to the underwriting team and enjoys speaking to agents on a daily basis.

John Askill Senior New Business UnderwriterA former insurance broker, John specialised in underwriting for Property, SME and Catering. John is a keen communicator who brings a cheerful approach to business and the office.
John believes the key to building long-lasting authentic relationships is good communication and finding solutions which benefit both parties.
Chris HaskethSenior New Business UnderwriterChris has 28 years in the industry starting off in personal lines, but moved to commercial around 10 years ago. His speciality is in Commercial Combined, (inc motor trade combined), Package, Liabilities and Property Owners, both from a brokers and underwriters perspective.
Camille Le LongSenior New Business UnderwriterWith seven years experience in commercial insurance, Camille is our go-to solution for Liability policies. Her expertise in construction and higher risk trade liability insurance makes her an integral part of the Commercial Express underwriting team. Camille thrives on working in a fast-paced, varied and challenging work environment.
Craig PowellNew Business UnderwriterCraig Powell has been part of the insurance world since 2012, with previous experience as a sales executive across catering, motor, event and fixed site insurance. Craig joined Commercial Express for a new and exciting challenge and will be focusing on catering and caravan in the underwriting service department.
Leigh Griffiths New Business UnderwriterLeigh Griffiths Cert CII has worked in the insurance industry for six years and has experience as a renewals executive. Having worked across products such as property owners, catering liability, package policies and many more, Leigh has extensive knowledge of the industry. He deals with new business, MTA’s, cancellations for property owners and any incoming broker queries.
Richard WilsonNew Business UnderwriterRichard has over 17 years experience in the industry working on SME and mid market products, mostly on Combined, Property and Liability Cover. Richard has joined Commercial Express to be part of a dynamic and expanding company. He is excited to learn from his colleagues and experience a new challenge.

Matt WarbyNew Business UnderwriterMatt has more than 10 years of experience in the insurance industry, working at the likes of Footman James and Falcon Insurance. He was focused on a range of commercial products, motor trade, property and tradesman policies. Matt joined CE because he wanted to further his knowledge and transition into underwriting, whilst developing skills and understanding new policies.

Andrew FisherRenewals UnderwriterAndrew has been in the insurance industry for over three years all within non-standard motor insurance. He started off as a new business sales agent, then a claims analyst, but has now been underwriting for the past year and a half. He has always been in non-standard motor insurance, by joining CE it gave him the opportunity to branch out into a new class of insurance.
Matt CheadleRenewals UnderwriterMatt joins the team from Arthur J Gallagher and has over four years insurance experience including catering, tradespeople, commercial property and liability. He enjoys working with agents to ensure the best service is provided and building long lasting relationships.
Jason Haughton Renewals UnderwriterJason Haughton has been part of the insurance industry for five years, working previously at A-plan, Coversure and Gallagher. Jason’s roles have included dealing with residential property owners and car insurance, as well as being part of an SME team looking at tradesman, liability, commercial combined and professional indemnity insurance.
Clinton MahachiRenewals UnderwriterClinton has been part of the insurance industry for five years, developing from an advisory/broking role to an underwriter. He has dealt largely with Liability, Property Owners’, SME and various combined and package products. Clinton wanted to work for CE because he was attracted to the people and is looking forward to contributing to the company’s ambition and team targets.
Zarrar TariqRenewals UnderwriterZarrar has worked in the insurance industry for over 14 years, writing a whole host of commercial insurance classes of business. He thrives on developing great relationships with our agents in order to deliver an MGA that offers a seamless journey, and at the same time providing great solutions for their clients.

Brook Poxon Service UnderwriterBrook comes to us after four and half years of working at a successful Commercial brokerage. Brook’s experience of dealing with new business enquiries, renewals and MTA’s across Property Owners, SME & Catering business makes him a great new addition to the underwriting team. Brook enjoys the fast-paced underwriting environment and building rapport with our agents, day in, day out.
Sally ScottService UnderwriterSally has over 13 years experience as a Commercial Underwriter and her technical knowledge is concentrated in Property Owners, SME, package and Commercial Combined. A team player, Sally always focuses on customer service. Sally enjoys the opportunity to work with a wide network of agents and the best part of her role is building effective working relationships.
Warren Gibbs Service UnderwriterWarren has over 15 years experience in the industry. Specialising in SME, Liability and Renewals, Warren’s vast experience and sound knowledge of the market make him an essential part of the Commercial Express team.
Natalie CrockettService UnderwriterNatalie has joined Commercial Express with a wealth of insurance knowledge, having previously worked at Aviva and Aspen. She has been in the industry for seven years and is now looking forward to achieving high level licenses. Natalie was drawn to working with Commercial Express thanks to the Gold Investors in People award.
Sarah CartwrightService UnderwriterSarah has worked in Insurance for seven years, beginning in personal lines in 2009 in Dublin for around two years and then moved to commercial insurance. Sarah enjoys speaking to agents on a daily basis and her hope is to move on to become a Senior Underwriter at Commercial Express.

Siân HickmanLearning & Development SpecialistSiân Hickman is our Learning & Development Specialist who spends her time delivering training courses to brokerages via webinars and in person. Siân has more than a decade of experience in underwriting and insurance, and is passionate, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable. Siân enjoys meeting agents who she has dealt with for many years, giving them hints and tips on our products to make their day to day jobs easier when working with Commercial Express.

Victoria WalmsleyFinance Administrator Victoria previously worked for Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. Her day duty was working in the commercial department as an apprentice and on match nights where she worked in the hospitality suites. She then Joined Commercial Express in 2009, starting off as the office junior, then progressed through Agency onto accounts/finance role which she absolutely enjoys, and has been doing this for around nine years. Her duties are using excellent communication skills, and attention to detail to ensure that all wholesale, Insurer accounts and accounts payable are kept in order.
Hobbies include hiking on nature walks, spending quality time with family and friends.
Brontë WisbeyFinance Team Leader Brontë has over 15 years experience in the Insurance industry with Commercial Express, originally employed in the Underwriting department. Brontë is able to utilise the experience and skills gained in supervising the accounts payable and accounts receivable function within the organisation and assists in providing timely, accurate reporting. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Clare BrindleyFinance AdministratorClare has been in the insurance industry for 29 years. Her career started in 1990 as an office junior at Footman James progressing through the departments into personal lines and classic car and bike insurance, she then moved to AON. Clare started with CE in 2013 to increase her knowledge of the commercial sector and has been working within the CE finance department for two and a half years. Clare enjoys building relationships with the brokers ensuring wholesale, insurer accounts and queries are kept in order and up to date.
Olivia HamptonFinance AdministratorOlivia has been working within the insurance industry for three years now. Starting off on a Business Administration Apprenticeship completing Level 2 and Level 3 in a successful commercial brokerage, Olivia has already gained a great customer service experience and will continue to learn and develop.
Agency & Compliance.
Kylie CorfieldAgency and Compliance AdministratorKylie is an integral part of the Agency team. As administration assistant, she provides excellent customer service to our brokers. With 14 years experience in the retail sector, Kylie is a people’s person and enjoys helping brokers. The best thing about working at CE, she says, is being part of a great team.
Catherine RoseCompliance and Quality Assurance AuditorCatherine has worked in insurance for over 15 years now, her background is in claims handling at Jardine Lloyd Thompson, Thistle Insurance and more recently over 7 years in a QA role at Footman James.
Her responsibilities are completing quality assurance audits and compliance monitoring across the business.
She is looking forward to helping develop the QA, Risk and Compliance functions within the business, and develop her understanding of compliance.
