SBDS Membership DatabaseThe Membership Database is a compilation of informationof all the Debate Society members containing the followingdata: NAME, NICKNAME, STATUS(Varsity/Alumnus/Member), CONTACT NUMBER,

ADDRESS, FACEBOOK AND TWITTER ACCOUNTS,EMAIL ADDRESS, and ACHIEVEMENTS.The Membership Database will updated every semester,and will be printed out for future reference every end of thewhole academic year.The deadline for submission of the data for everysemestral update is set a WEEK BEFORE THE END OF

THE SEMESTER.Submission of data for achievements will have thefollowing format and should be followed strictly: Credential- Tournament, Year. (i.e. Octofinalist - National DebateChampionship-Naga 2013)

A separate compilation shall be done with the followingclassification: MEMBERS & VARSITY, and ALUMNI

SBDS Membership Card All recognized members of the Organization shallreceive a membership card which will certify theirmembership which will last for the wholeacademic year.The Membership Card shall have the followingdetails: NAME, and YEAR AND COURSE.The Membership Card will only be valid for ONE(1) whole academic year.

DebSoc: Vision As a team, we are envisioning an Audio-VisualPresentation that will showcase the genuinedevelopment of our team and members andpresent what have they realized through the

Debate Society's teachings, which wouldeventually entice students and applicants topursue interest in the organization.The Official AVP should strengthen our principle:We start small, but end big.To explain, there will be a scene showcasing howdebate changed their lifestyle, from enhancingspeaking skills, improving speed of thought, totravelling all over the country to represent SanBeda.(More explanation will be provided)

SBDS Application FormThe official Application Form shall be releasedduring the Freshmen Orientation Day 2014 [June13, 2014].The Organization will be having two registrationmediums: SBDS Membership Ticket and SBDSOnline App Form.The Application Form will ask for the followinginformation: NAME, YEAR, COURSE, CONTACTNUMBER, and E-MAIL ADDRESS.Should an applicant had registered in either oneof the mediums, it is no longer necessary to

register in the other medium.

Recruitment StandardThe Recruitment Standard will have twofunctions: STANDARD ON VALUES andSTANDARD ON AUTHORITY.STANDARD ON VALUES: a standardized set of

questions that will be given during screening ofthe applicants, i.e. What is debate, why do youwant to try debating, etc.STANDARD ON AUTHORITY: only the TeamCaptain, Vice President for Varsity Affairs, andDirector for Membership and Recruitment will bethe officers who will have the power to validate amembership of an applicant. This solves theinconsistency in screening.
