INJURIES Injuries happen!
Cheerleading is a dangerous sport We take all measures to practice safely, but accidents
happen! It is the responsibility of the cheerleader to
inform the coach when they are hurt! If you are smiling and laughing, we will assume you
are okay, so if you are not, it is your responsibility to say something!
Hospital visit after injury It is the responsibility of the cheerleader and/or parent
to inform the coach anytime you visit the hospital from a cheerleading-related injury, in order to get an accident report filed
Once an athlete has seen a doctor, Doctor’s Note must be given to all coaches for clearance.
CONCUSSIONS Prior to the start of the season, all cheerleaders MUST
complete the concussion baseline test.
IMPACT CONCUSSION MANAGEMENT BASELINE TEST HOME INTRUCTIONS
Test must be taken in a quiet and distraction free environment.
Distractions can cause a reading of “invalid results” which would require retaking the test.
Cell phones off. Log onto the internet. In the top menu select “TOOLS” and then turn “OFF” the pop-up
blocker. Go to the following website:
www.impacttestonline.com/schools This is not an intelligence test; you will get some items wrong.
Your objective is to complete the sections as quickly and accurately as possible. Read each set of directions twice so you know precisely what to do.
