Shot in BC and the US, it captures unimaginably stunning landscapes and mountain biking by some of the sport's best riders, including many from BC. Doug will be greatly missed by his wife Loretta; his daughters Brenda (Alex), Deannie (Curt), Bonnie (Jorge); 3 grandchildren Shannon (Stephen), Morgan, Sarah; great grand children Reylen, Taylor and Alexandra; his brother Les, sister Corey Ann and ex- tended family Ray (Ermadell), Rick (Janeth), Karen (Ray), Debra (Chris), Cheryll (Doug). Doug is predeceased by his brother Don and his parents Ed & Kathleen. Doug was born January 24, 1935 in Cranbrook and had three daughters with his wife of 28 years Anita Katherine who passed away in 1984. He lived in Gibsons, for many years and worked in the Howe Sound Pulp Mill. After retirement from the mill, Doug moved to Merritt where he met Loretta. Doug enjoyed floor curling, cards, Court Whist and Rumoli. He held a posi- tion of President and Director of the local Seniors organization. Doug and Loretta en- joyed going fishing, camping in their mo- torhome at Harmon Lake and they had a great time for many years going to the Merritt Music Festival. They enjoyed their Friday dinner outtings and Sunday break- fasts at the Grand with friends. Doug had a great love for his dogs, who always put a smile on his face when they were near him. Thanks to all the doctors, nurses and health care professionals who assisted with Doug’s care. A special thanks to all the staff at Gillis House, who not only treated Doug with kindness and compas- sion but gave him and his family extraor- dinary care over the last weeks of his life. A service and celebration of life will be held on Saturday May 30th, 2015 at 2pm at Trinity United Church, 1899 Quilchena Ave.. it will be followed by refreshments in the hall. Doug passed away peacefully onMay 9, 2015 with Loretta, his daughtersand family by his side. Doug will begreatly missed by his wife Loretta; hisdaughters Brenda (Alex), Deannie (Curt),Bonnie (Jorge); 3 grandchildren Shannon(Stephen), Morgan, Sarah; great grandchildren Reylen, Taylor and Alexandra;his brother Les, sister Corey Ann and ex-tended family Ray (Ermadell), Rick(Janeth), Karen (Ray), Debra (Chris),Cheryll (Doug). Doug is predeceased by hisbrother Don and his parents Ed & Kathleen.
