How to install an expert advisor (EA) in MT4

This tutorial will show you how to install an Expert

Advisor(EA) in Metatrader4 (MT4) in 5 easy steps.

We are using GRIDAlgo EA (part of the Grid Trading

Course) as an example.

Step 1:

Locate the EXPERTS folder of your MT4 platform. This should be in Program Files\MetaTrader Platform - main folder

For example for FXDD brokerage this is ...Program Files (x86)\FXDD – MetaTrader\experts

Step 2:

Go to the folder where you have your EA downloaded/stored. Right click on your EA, select COPY from the drop down menu.

Step 3:

Go to EXPERTS folder and right-click to paste the EA.

Step 4:

Start your MT4 platform. Locate the NAVIGATOR tab on the left-hand side or by clicking the NAVIGATOR button in the Tool Bar.

Step 5:

Click the + symbol in front of the Expert Advisors Tab.You should be able to see your new EA here.

That's it, now your EA is properly installed in MT4.
