The historic towns north of Mexico City are hidden gems called Pueblos

PueblaPuebla is one of the five most importantSpanish colonial cities in Mexico and islocated approximately two hours to thesouth east of Mexico City. It wasdeclared a National Heritage site in1987 and is often visited alongside thecolonial town of Cholula which is one ofthe oldest recorded cities in Mexico.

CuernavacaCuernavaca is the largest city of thestate of Morelos. Nicknamed the “cityof eternal spring” by Alexander vonHumboldt, it boasts an excellentclimate all year round. Day 4 Visit the Chicanna archaeologicalzone filled with beautiful structures withornate façades. Visit the Maya ceremonialsite of Calakmul, where a large number ofstructures have been identified, includingthe tallest pyramid in Mexico, and is partof the an extensive Biosphere Reserve. (B)
