Issues• Huge fall in enrolment in primary level (123971 in 2013-14 to
98825 in 2014-15)• Very less utilization of cooking cost (24% against total allocation);
honorarium to cook cum helpers ( 29% of allocation); MME fund (only 24% of allocation); nil utilization of TA
• Huge mismatch in utilization of food grains (78% of allocation) and cooking cost (24% of allocation)
• Poor inspection of schools (only 17.27% schools inspected till 3rd quarter )

Best Practices
• State contribution towards cooking cost is more than the minimum mandatory State share (Rs. 1.2 PCPD in Primary and Rs. 0.7 PCPD in Upper Primary)
• State contribution towards honorarium of cook cum helpers is more than the minimum mandatory State share (Rs. 600 per CCH per month)
• Participation of Cent per Cent children in MDM• Plantation of Fruits in School compound• Kitchen Garden in school
