Cybersecurity Classroom Expectations Keep cell phones silenced and put away to prevent classroom distraction. Attend class daily, on time and ready to work. Respect everyone in the classroom. Take responsibility for your own actions. Actively participate and contribute to group assignments and projects. Complete and submit assignments by their due dates. Course Description:

Cybersecurity course students learn about

cybersecurity, information assurance,

computer hardware, Windows operating

system, networking and how to harden an

operating system to prevent attacks from

being successful.

Students learn the concepts/theories of

cybersecurity with lectures, practice hands-

on skills in the classroom, virtual computing

environment, and the Virginia Cyber Range.

Students will learn the to operate the

computer management tools within

Windows 10 workstation.

Certifications:

The Cybersecurity course provides a basis

for the CompTIA A+ industrial certification.

Serious students will use this course as a

launching point into studying for the

CompTIA A+ industrial certification.
