NOTIFICATION REGARDING ENGAGEMENT OF TRADE APPRENTICES

Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL) a profit making Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Mines,

Government of India, as a measure of Skill Development Initiative for the Nation, is in the process of engaging Trade

Apprentices in following trades in its various projects located in the states of Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Andhra

Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu etc.

1) GENERAL INFORMATION AND INSTRUCTIONS –

i. Only Indian national need to apply.

ii. The cut-off date for reckoning educational/professional qualification, age etc. shall be 01.10.2016.

iii. The candidates who have already undergone Apprenticeship training earlier or undergoing the said training are

not eligible for Apprenticeship Training as per Apprentices Act 1961.

iv. Monthly payable stipend during the apprenticeship training period will be as per rates fixed by Government

from time to time.

v. Location of apprenticeship training will be in our projects situated in different states.

vi. After completion of the duration of Apprenticeship Training, they will be separated from training and MECL

does not guarantee future employment after completion of Apprenticeship Training.

vii. Leave during training period will be granted as per Apprentice Rule, 1961.

2) MODE OF APPLICATION –

i. Interested candidates are required to register their candidature in RDAT Apprenticeship Training portal at

apprenticeship.gov.in.

ii. The path-way to register their candidature is described separately in Annexure-I.

3) SELECTION METHODOLOGY –

i. Candidates will be called for document verification on “First come first serve” basis as per their order of

registration in RDAT Apprenticeship Training portal.

ii. Post successful document verification, apprentices will be assigned to any of MECL establishments.

The interested candidates are advised to register their candidature in RDAT portal. Corrigendum/amendment including due

date, if any, will be notified only on MECL website and will not be published in any other media including newspaper.

Annexure I

Procedure for Apprenticeship Registration

In order to register on the Apprenticeship Training Portal, following steps need to be taken.

1. Open the Apprenticeship Training Portal at apprenticeship.gov.in. Following is the home

page which will be displayed on the screen. Click on the third tab “Apprentices” in the

menu bar.

2. In the dropdown menu, click on “Apprentices Registration”.

3. Following page will be displayed on the screen. Click on the link National Apprentices

Promotion Scheme (NAPS) in Point No. 2.

4. Following Registration form will open and the same needs to be filled by the apprentice

for completing his/her registration.

Post submission of the registration form, the apprentice will receive a Registration No. on

his/her e-mail id. The apprentice needs to apply for apprenticeship at MECL using this

Registration No. The steps for applying for apprenticeship at MECL are described in

subsequent points.

5. On the home page at apprenticeship.gov.in, click on the second tab “Establishment”. In

the drop down menu select “Establishment Search”.

6. On selecting “Establishment Search”, the page shown below gets displayed.

7. In the above form, put Establishment Name as “Mineral Exploration Corporation

Limited” and State as “Maharashtra”. Following page will get displayed.

8. Click on the link “Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited” on bottom left-hand side of

the above page. The Company profile of MECL will get displayed as below.

9. On scrolling down under the second heading “Establishment Trade Details”, number of

seats available in different trades will be displayed. The apprentice needs to apply on

his/her respective trade through the given “Apply” link.

10. After clicking on “Apply” link, following form needs to be filled by the apprentice.

After clicking on Apply button at the bottom, application form of the apprentice shall be

received by us on the portal. On receiving the application on the portal, an offer for document

verification process shall be sent to the apprentices on a first come first serve basis. The

apprentice will be selected if the document verification is successful.
