Sectoral achievements

Grade 1 entrants with ECED background is now 55.6%

Primary education NER 95.3% (4.7% out of school population)

Girls have outnumbered boys in primary schools.

Basic education NER has reached 87.5% More than 90% teachers are trained and have

required qualifications

Sectoral achievements contd… Repetition rates in grade one have fallen from now 19.9%

Survival rate of grade 5 is 84.2% Likewise, survival rate of grade 8 is 69.6% Learning Levels are below 50% in learning

competencies Literacy rate of 6+ reported in the Census

Report is at 65.9% (cf Male Female gaps) Grade 5 Survival Rate 84.2
