6. Reports, proposals and issues from other Sub-Committees
SC Roller Skiing
ICR proposals
The SC proposed additions to ICR (time penalty in team sprint for roller skiing and pole length precision in classical roller ski competitions). Both have been approved. See section 7 for details.
FIS points proposals
The SC proposed new factors and minimum penalties. Both proposals have been approved. See section 8 for details.
7. ICR matters: Precisions / Guidelines
The following ICR updates have been approved by sub-committee:
316.4.2 Transponder Timekeeping Transponders (active and passive systems) can be used as a supporting system to the official timing system to determine race times and ranking sequences at intermediate timing points, pre-timing points, and finish (un-official result). The official result must be confirmed by using electronic timing systems in accordance with ICR.
352.3.1 Competition suspension can only be used for ICR infractions during sprint heats, team sprint heats and bonus sprints (both intermediate and finish).
New 352.3.5 In Team sprint competitions, a competition suspension means that the team will be ranked last in the heat and last in the round.
New 396.9.2. Early start during Team Relay or Team Sprint exchange must be sanctioned by time penalty (actual time gained + 15 seconds minimum penalty).
New 396.10 Classical roller ski technique New 396.10.1 In classical technique competitions, the maximum pole length must not exceed 83% of the competitor’s body height plus 2 cm. The measurements and rounding must correspond provisions of ICR art 343.8.1
8. FIS Points
The following factors will be applied for roller ski competitions:

Minimum penalty for ROL competitions will be 45 (before 35).
9. TD matters
9.1. Report from the TD Working Group Meeting, Thu 05.10.2017
TD seminars this year will be organized as planned
Scandinavia: Holmenkollen (NOR), October 20th- 22nd 2017
Eastern Europe/Balkan, Štrbske Pleso (SVK), October 20th- 22nd 2017
North America: Gatineau, Quebec, Canada this November 4th -5th 2017
Additional seminar in Far East (Korea) November 3rd – 4th 2017 will be paid by the organizer.
TD Exam part B will be changed:
Presentation should be accompanied by practical work in working group, Video cases analysis and questioning of the TD candidate.
John Aalberg and Allan Serrano will prepare a proposal for re-wording.
Budget for seminars is limited and cannot be extended.

OPA – Isolaccia/Valdidentro (ITA), Fall 2018
Scandinavia – Stockholm (SWE), Fall 2018
TD assignments at top level competitions. The process stays the same as now providing that Regional Coordinators can also propose candidates for top level assignments.
