    My Dear Parishioners,

“Catholic Schools: Faith. Excellence. Service.” is the theme for Catholic Schools Week this year (Jan. 31—Feb. 6, 2021). As members of the Body of Christ, we, as the Catholic Church, have a unique opportunity to transmit our faith and values to our children within our parishes and communities particularly through our Catholic School system. There are many who have continued to benefit directly through Catholic School education. Nationally and internationally the influence of a Catholic School education has made a positive difference in the lives of others throughout the world. Primarily, Catholic education is about teaching our faith to our students and helping them to use the tools necessary to live this faith. As this faith grows and as our students learn to incorporate this faith in their daily lives, they continue to spread the Good News of the Kingdom of God. Catholic Schools therefore, must be places that create a “special atmosphere animated by the Gospel spirit of freedom and charity, to help youth grow according to the new creatures they were made through baptism as they develop their own personalities, and finally, to order the whole of human culture to the news of salvation so that the knowledge the students gradually acquire of the world, life and man is illumined by faith. (#8, Gravissimum Educationis, Declaration on Christian Education, Pope St. Paul VI, 1965)

I encourage you to visit your local Catholic School, especially St. Monica Catholic School. As you visit our parochial school, you will encounter a spirit of learning and charity, “an atmosphere animated by the Gospel” that influences all connected with our school. I am proud of our children, our families, our president, our teachers, and our staff! I want to thank all who give of their time, talent, and treasure to support and maintain our parish school. Let us together promote Catholic Education especially by promoting our Catholic Schools!

    Your Pastor,Fr. Guadagnoli

Cuarto Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario 31 de enero 2021

    Del PastorMis queridos feligreses,

“Escuelas católicas: Fe. Excelencia.

    Padre GuadagnoliParroco
