SHOOTING SAFETY NOTICE - AIR PISTOLS CAN KILL - ALWAYS: Treat every gun as if it were loaded and ready to fire.

Supervise young people when they are using air weapons. NEVER: Carry a loaded air gun in a public place; it is dangerous, as well as being illegal. Touch other people's guns without their permission. Take a loaded air gun into your home. Load an air gun until you have made quite sure it is safe to shoot. Point an air gun at anybody - including yourself - no matter how sure you are that it is unloaded. Leave an air gun unattended, no matter for how long - even when it is unloaded. ON THE RANGE Range Safety Precautions must always be rigidly observed. The Range Officer's commands must always be obeyed. Pistols must always point down the range. Pistols must never be touched if anyone is down the range. Pistols must be kept in a securely fastened casing at all times except at the firing point and in the designated area for gun control. CONTRAVENING OF THIS RULE BY THE COMPETITOR OR HIS/HER LOADER OR COACH WILL LEAD TO ELIMINATION OF THAT COMPETITOR FROM THE EVENT WHO WILL SCORE ZERO. On arrival at the firing point competitors MUST WAIT for the command "UNCASE PISTOLS" before removing and placing the pistol on the table. Competitors must always be familiar with range procedure before entering a competition. Competitors must be competent in handling their pistols. The Range Officer has discretion to eliminate those who are not competent.
