ensures successful strategy implementation and effective management of environmental impacts, risks and opportunities.

Structured the environmental strategy to cover the entire Adidas Group and value chain.

Start from raw materials for example Adidas committed to use 100% sustainable cotton by 2018

Including environmental considerations into innovation and design.

Engage with suppliers and help them to achieve significant improvement through training, targets and environmental audits.

Milestones 20121. Develop specific guideline and tools for specific brands, business function or targets. Some function-specific tools have been developed as

best practice model, such as Design for Environment guidelines.

2. Mature and develop quantitative and/or qualitative KPIs for all business functions engaged with the Environmental Strategy 2015; ensure that KPIs are meaningful and practical. KPIs are tracked for several targets and projects

related to the Environmental Strategy 2015. But not all of the business functions are included so far, as not all of the function’s commitments can be meaningfully tracked via relevant KPIs.

2. HAZARDOUS CHEMICALS TARGET 2015 Target : Zero discharge of hazardous chemicals (ZHDC) by

2020. Chemicals are widely used in the global textile and apparel

supply chains. In August 2011, the Adidas Group committed itself to the

goal of Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals from its supply chain with a 2020 deadline.

Very complex and challenging task as it involves many stakeholders.

Actions should be based on a preventive, precautionary and integrated approach to chemicals management.

In November 2011,Adidas Group published the ‘Joint Roadmap’ together with fellow brands.

Other involvement are Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) and Global Social Compliance Programme (GSCP)
