Monique was born and raised in Los Angeles and has lived abroad in Rome and Bologna,

Italy. She has a fashion site, Pazzesca (vitapazzesca.com), which is her passion and she is also getting her Masters from USC in

Entertainment Management. Monique has been a Fashion Blogger for HNS from the beginning

and we love having her on the team!!!

Why do you believe in Healthy is the New Skinny? I believe in Healthy is the New Skinny because it is positive, motivational and inspirational. HNS urges everyone to cherish inner beauty as well as loving the natural and healthy you.   We want to know why you feel this movement is important and why you want to be a part of this change. I feel this movement is important because it helps all people, especially girls and women, to think in a more realistic, positive and healthy manner when it comes to their bodies. I want to be a part of this change because I used to have very low self esteem and poor body image and would love to help educate and connect with women and girls to help them understand the value of self confidence and self love.

  When you think about the word

"happiness" what does it look like?

The word “happiness” to me looks like a smile.

  If you could go back in time to bring a

message to your high school self.... what would you tell her and why?

I would tell my high school self, “You can do it. You are beautiful. You are amazing

and you are destined for greatness.”  

Do you think change is possible?

I think any type of change is possible, but that an individual has to be self-motivated

to change indefinitely. You are amazing and you are

destined for greatness.”

  What makes you laugh so hard you cry? My feet being tickled.   What do you love most about being a girl? Being able to relate to other women.   What do you want girls to know? I want girls to know that anything in life is possible and beauty starts from within.   What changes would you like to see for your generation and the next generations to come. I would love to see everyone be more loving and tolerant of each other’s differences.

   Think of your favorite picture of you as a child.... if you could go back to that day

and give yourself a message, what would that be? You are beautiful and you are loved.

  When you are alone and left with only your thoughts and dreams, what do you

wish for? I wish for eternal happiness and peace.

   What does being healthy mean to you?

Being healthy, to me, means being comfortable and completely accepting of the person I see when I look in the mirror. Being healthy means loving the real me.
