MAUI, Hawaii (April 4, 2019) – Celebrating its five-year anniversary, Montage Kapalua Bay has
announced significant property enhancements to the 24-acre, picturesque resort. Last year, all 50 of
the residential-style, multi-bedroom suites were refreshed, providing guests with an elevated luxury
experience. This year, Montage Kapalua Bay has unveiled a new dinner-only restaurant, The
Hideaway at Kapalua Bay, as well as a revamped menu at its signature restaurant, Cane & Canoe.

New Restaurant: The Hideaway at Kapalua Bay
Maui’s new dining destination, The Hideaway, located adjacent to Cane & Canoe, is designed as a
casual and welcoming gathering space, ideal for family, friends and locals alike. Led by Chef de Cuisine
Robert Barrera, The Hideaway caters to guests who are longing to unwind and reconnect over island-
inspired seasonal meals and freshly crafted cocktails. Signature dishes include Big Eye Tuna Tartare,
West Coast Oysters, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, and Coconut Shrimp Satay. Presenting an intimate,
contemporary Hawaiian setting, the restaurant welcomes guests with indoor and outdoor seating and
sweeping views of the resort’s gardens. The Hideaway at Kapalua Bay is open for dinner daily from 4:30pm-

New on the Menu at Cane & Canoe
Cane & Canoe’s signature dining experience has been elevated to an even higher level with a focus
on the finest cuts and freshest seafood on Maui. Signature dishes and USDA prime cuts include
Tomahawk Rib Chop, Wagyu Ribeye, Ora King Salmon Sashimi, Big Eye Ahi Poke, and more.
Throughout the menu, Chef Barrera introduces a handful of creative dishes that feature a unique twist
to classics, such as Keahole Lobster Pot Pie and Roasted Cauliflower “Steak.” Cane & Canoe is open for

Spa Montage
Under Montage Hotels & Resorts’ new partnership with Valmont, Spa Montage Kapalua Bay has
expanded its existing luxury skincare menu with new signature treatments, specifically chosen for the
destination and guests’ needs. Among these new experiences, Valmont has created an exclusive
treatment for Spa Montage - The Masterpiece Facial, which combines the power of a dual cleansing
process with six masks, including a complete collagen treatment for the face, neck, décolleté and eyes.
Additionally, Spa Montage has introduced new classes led by Christina Felty and Paul Balmer of Shanti
Sound Healing, such as Sacred Sound Bath & Meditation and Cacao & Sound Ceremony.
Spa Montage Kapalua Bay expanded its boutique, fashioned by Pili Design, and includes detailing by
Hill-Devine Design with refreshed relaxation lounges, outdoor hydrotherapy areas, and a new outdoor
hale waiting area. After a day at the spa, guests can now enjoy a healthy lunch poolside with menu
items such as Kula Farms Berries and Goat Cheese Salad, Island Fish Tacos, and Salmon Poke Bowl.
