PECIS ACTIVITIES

1. Ms. Rogelette T Urgel, PIO conducted a lecture among the BJMP Personnel of

Tacloban City Jail-Female Dorm from 9:30 PM- 11:00 PM on 11th of March 2019. Topics

on Drug Identification centered the discussion.

2. Ms. Rogelette T Urgel, PIO together with Atty Jason T Matoza, Legal Officer

conducted a Drug-Free Workplace lecture among the AFP Personnel of 53rd Engr.

Battalion Brigade, Phil. Army from 1:30 PM- 4:00 PM on 14th of March 2019.

3. Dir. Edgar T Jubay conducted a lecture among the students of Anibong Night

High School, Tacloban City, wherein One Hundred Ninety-Two (192) participants

attended the lecture conducted from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM on March 4, 2019. The

said activity is part of the School Caravan Program by PDEA RO8.

Criminology Department from 3:30 PM- 5:00 PM on 8th of March 2019. The said

Komiks) were also distributed to the students.

7. On March 8, 2019 at about 3:00 PM personnel from PDEA Regional Office VIII

lead by Chief of Admin. Division Ms. Marelie Honor De Leon and Chief of

Operations Division IAV Christine Ann Dumapias, conducted anti-illegal drug

advocacy campaign to parents/guardians of Nagcaduha Elem. School students in

the Municipality of Villareal Samar. The said activity is part of the School Caravan

Program by PDEA RO8. IEC materials (PDEA Komiks) were also distributed to the

students.

8. On March 15, 2019 at about 10:30 AM, personnel from PDEA Regional Office

VIII lead by Chief of Admin. Division Ms. Marelie Honor De Leon and Chief of

11. On March 22, 2019 at around 9 o’clock in the morning, Ms. Liza F. Baoy,

Supervising Administrative Officer, conducted a drug awareness lecture to one

hundred three Grade VI pupils (43 males and 60 females) of the V&G Elementary

School, Tacloban City. The said activity is part of the School Caravan Program by

PDEA RO8. IEC materials (PDEA Komiks) were also distributed to the students.

1. IO1 Sheila Jervoso and IO1 Steve Mardene Alvero conducted a lecture to Persons

Deprived of Liberty (PDL) from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 11th day of March 2019.

Right after the lecture, the participants were given the chance to ask questions

and were answered briefly by the lecturer.

2. IA1 Michael J. Mortel and IO1 Sheila Jervoso conducted a lecture to the personnel

of BJMP Baybay City Jail from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on 11th day of March 2019.

Lectures on Ill-Effects of Drug abuse and Salient provisions of RA 9165 highlighted

the activity.

3. IO3 Rosalie L Farrofo and IO1 Steve Mardene Alvero conducted a lecture to Grade

5 pupils of Leyte Agro Industrial School, Leyte, Leyte from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on

7th day of March 2019.

B. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8- SAMAR PROVINCIAL OFFICE

1. IA1 Silas Aurelia, Asst. Provincial Officer, PDEA RO8- Samar PO (SPO) and IA1 Gretchen A Buhay-Aurelia, Staff of PDEA RO8 Samar Provincial Office (SPO) conducted seminar last March 15, 2019, 10:00 o’clock AM at Calbayog City District Jail located at Tornalon Estate, Brgy. Gadgaran, Calbayog City. Present during the said activity were personnel and staff of Calbayog City District Jail and North Western Samar State University (NWSSU) Criminology Intern totaling to thirty one (31) attendees.

Lim both Staff of PDEA RO8 Samar Provincial Office (SPO) attended the Special Barangay Assembly- Pulong-Pulong last March 21, 2019, 10:00 o’clock AM held at the Barangay Covered Court of Brgy. Peña, Calbayog City. The said assembly was attended by a total of one hundred (100) barangay officials and constituents of Brgy. Peña,Calbayog City. Meanwhile, the heads and representatives from various national and local agencies to include, CSWDO; City Health Office; Bureau of Fire; CDRRMO; Solid Waste Management; City Anti-Drug Abuse Prevention and Rehabilitation Office (CDAPRO) “Balay Silangan-Day-Time Rehabilitation” and Calbayog CPS gave information dissemination on the mandate and services offered of their agencies to the community.

3. On March 5, 2019 at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning, IO2 JERUM M

CHIQUILLO & MS. MA. IVY LIM, both Staff of PDEA Samar PO conducted

School Visitation in Pagbalican Elementary School. The said activity is a part of

the Special Barangay Assembly- Pulong-Pulong Program of CLGOO of Calbayog

City Led by Ms. Joy Frances Monsanto. The said assembly was attended of

more or less twenty (20) Grade Four and Five Pupils of Pagbalican Elementary

School in Brgy. Pagbalican, Calbayog City. Meanwhile, the heads and

representatives from various national and local agencies to include, COMELEC;

CSWDO; CDAPRO;City Health office; Bureau of Fire; CDRRMO; Solid Waste

Management; DILG and Calbayog CPS gave information dissemination on

what are the mandate and services offered of their agencies to the

community.

4. On March 6, 2019 at around 10:00 o’clock in the morning, IO2 JERUM M CHIQUILLO & MS. MA. IVY LIM, both Staff of PDEA Samar PO conducted School Visitation in Bontay Elementary School. The said activity is a part of the Special Barangay Assembly- Pulong-Pulong Program of CLGOO of Calbayog City Led by Ms. Joy Frances Monsanto. During the activity, MS. MA. IVY P. LIM gave an Informative message to students regarding the Illegal Uses Drugs and its Effect including the Prevention and penalties.

at BJMP Guiuan District Jail, Brgy. 9A, Guiuan, Eastern Samar.

3. At about 09:00 AM of March 23, 2019, PDEA ESPO led by IA1 FREDERICK J OCAÑA,

Provincial Officer, PDEA Eastern Samar attended the Barangay Assembly held at the

covered court in Barangay Maybocog, Maydolong, E. Samar.

4. At about 0900H of March 12, 2019, PDEA ESPO personnel led by IO2 Cecilia D. Miralles

under the guidance of IA1 Frederick J. Ocaña, Provincial Officer, PDEA Eastern Samar

conducted lecture at BJMP-Borongan City located in Brgy. Songco, Borongan City, E.

Samar .

5. At about 9:00 AM of March 21, 2019, IA1 FREDERICK J. OCAÑA, Provincial Officer,

PDEA RO8-Eastern Samar Provincial Office, conducted an anti-illegal drugs lecture

before the jail personnel of BJMP Balangiga District Jail, Balangiga, Eastern Samar.

6. At about 11:00 AM of March 14, 2019, PDEA ESPO personnel led by IA1 FREDERICK J.

OCAÑA, Provincial Officer, PDEA Eastern Samar conducted a lecture among the Grade

II students of Eastern Samar National Comprehensive High School, Brgy. Bato,

Borongan City, E. Samar composed of sixty (60) participants.

7. At about 9:00 AM of March 22, 2019, PDEA ESPO personnel led by IA1 FREDERICK J

OCAÑA, Provincial Officer, PDEA Eastern Samar conducted a lecture among the

Criminology students of Eastern Samar State University (ESSU-Main Campus), Brgy.

Maypangdan, Borongan City, E. Samar composed of one hundred twenty (120)

participants.

8. At about 10:00 AM of March 25, 2019, IO2 RUDYARD RUBEN A. CAPITO, under the

supervision of IA1 FREDERICK J. OCAÑA, Provincial Officer, PDEA RO8-Eastern Samar

Provincial Office, conducted an anti-illegal drugs lecture before Grade 11 Senior High

School Students of Eastern Samar State University-Salcedo Campus, Salcedo, Eastern

Samar.

Provincial Office, conducted an anti-illegal drugs lecture before Grade 12 Senior High

School Students of Eastern Samar State University-Salcedo Campus, Salcedo, Eastern

10. At about 11:00 AM of March 13, 2019, IO2 RUDYARD RUBEN A. CAPITO, under the


Provincial Office, conducted an anti-illegal drugs lecture before Criminology Interns

of Eastern Samar State University-Maydolong Campus, Maydolong, Eastern Samar.

D. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8-NORTHERN SAMAR PROVINCIAL

1. On March 20, 2019 at 9:30 AM Assistant Provincial Officer IA1 Neil T. Waniwan and

IA1 Leo Francis G. Almasco together with Mondragon MPS personnel conducted

Lectures among the Eight (8) Drug Affected Barangay of the Municipality of Mondragon,

Province of Northern Samar composed of Seventy-three (73) participants from 9:30

AM- 10:00 AM on 20th of March 2019.

2. Agent Ma. Cristina Karla L. Mabelin together with Agent Dolores Largo conducted a

lecture among Grade 11 and 12 students of Eladio T. Balite Memorial School of Fisheries

composed of One Hundred Eighty-Two (182) participants from 8:30 AM- 10:30 AM on

13th of March 2019.

E. PECIS ACTIVITIES CONDUCTED BY PDEA RO8-SOUTHERN LEYTE PROVINCIAL OFFICE

1. On or about 10:00AM of March 12, 2019, IO1Jeanny Planada-Cubilla together with

Investigation Agent 1 Joseph Padual and IO1 Jasper Vence Eray of PDEA8-SLPO

conducted a lecture/seminar among the Person Deprived of Liberty (PDL) of Maasin

City Jail composed of 81 participants.

2. On or about 1100H of March 12, 2019, IO1Jeanny Planada-Cubilla together with

Investigation Agent 1 Joseph Padual and IO1 Jasper Vence Eray of PDEA8-SLPO

conducted a lecture among the Personnel of Maasin City Jail composed of 21

participants.

V. Teleradyo Program:

A. Teleradyo Program with IBC6 TV Station and DYVL Aksyon Radyo dubbed

as“PDEA in Action” is aired Live every Thursday from 09:30 to 10:30 AM simulcasting

DYVL Aksyon Radyo and Idol FM, anchored by Dir. Edgar T. Jubay, Atty. Jason T.

Matoza, and Information Officer Rogelette T. Urgel. It has also its livestreaming via

Facebook Account of Pdea Otso and DYVL Facepage Account. It is also aired at ATV

Channel 24 of Leyte Net Cable.

B. Another Teleradyo program dubbed as “SAGUBAY” was launched on July 07,

2018 anchored by the above signatory over IBC6 and Idol FM from 9:00-10:00 AM every

Saturday. The said program has also its livestreaming via Pdea Otso Facebook Account.
