How does the program work?

Meet your hotel’s monthly enrollment and valid

email targets to earn 500 IHG® Rewards Club

points for every Qualified Enrollment (QE) with

a valid email address.

Example:

Hotel QE goal = 30

Valid email target = 30

Hotel gets 45 QEs with 35 valid email addresses

Hotel is awarded for 35 QEs with valid email

addresses 35 x 500 points = 17,500 points earned.

• EFR is an incentive program designed to award hotel front desk employees and Champions for enrolling new members into IHG® Rewards Club and capturing their email addresses.

• Hotels will receive 500 IHG® Rewards Club points for every Qualified Enrollment (QE) with a valid email when both targets are met.

Meet your hotel’s monthly enrollment and valid email targets to earn 500 IHG® Rewards Club points for every Qualified Enrollment (QE) with a valid email address. The award amount will be based on the total number of Qualified Enrollments with valid email the hotel gets each month.

A Qualified Enrollment (QE) is an enrollment that:

• Is made no earlier than 24 hours before check-in and prior to check-out • Is attached to a stay • Is made at the same hotel as the stay • Is not a duplicate enrollment

When we get guests’ valid emails they become more valuable because: • We can contact them easily and learn about their stay• We can inform them of all of the benefits IHG® Rewards Club has to offer• They are able to activate their account and earn points • They are more likely to book with IHG® again• IHG is able to send promotions and information about our

brands and incentives

5 Why are we requesting that guests provide their email address as part of their enrollment?

• The standard is a quarterly target that focuses purely on Qualified Enrollments.

• Enroll for Rewards is an incentive program with a monthly target that encourages hotels to enroll new members and capture their email as a part of the new enrollment.

• A hotel can miss the incentive target (by missing the email capture goal) and still be on track to meet their quarterly standard goal.

• Pay-outs will be made monthly for meeting qualifying enrollment and valid email targets.

• Hotels will earn points for every Qualified Enrollment with a valid email address.• Points will be posted under Source > Enroll for Rewards > Distribute Rewards

where they will stay until allocated to individual employees.

8 What is the difference between the standard requirement and the Enroll for Rewards requirement?

• 2016 program pay-outs are based on number of Qualified Enrollments with a valid email.

• Your hotel may get a high number of QEs for the month but only those that include a valid email address are eligible for an award.

7 Our hotel was not paid for all the Qualified Enrollments (QEs) we enrolled last month. Why?

9 How often will hotels receive incentive pay-out?

Points will be awarded around the 20th of each month directly into IHG® Rewards Club Source.

6 What day of the month do we receive our points?

• No, the points earned from Enroll for Rewards are not Elite qualifying and will not help promote employees at Club level to Gold or Platinum.

• No, the Source Distribute Rewards page will only show a breakout of points for employees that made an enrollment that month.

• If your hotel wants to give points to a non-enrolling member, you will need to hold those points in the hotel balance account and have the associate make an enrollment the next month. Then those points, and any additional earned, can be distributed into that employee’s account.

• We suggest that all employees use their own enrolling EMP ID number to ensure they are on the monthly files.Note: You can also save points for a team reward, see: “How do we redeem our points for a team award?” on page 6.

12 Can we share our points with team members who did not make enrollments?

11 Are the points earned from Enroll for Rewards Elite status qualifying?

• IHG® Rewards Club will pay out all the points to the hotel in one lump amount via a balance account on Source.

• Hotels have the option to pool the points and redeem them for a team award or to distribute them to individual employees each month.

• The points will be on Source > Enroll for Rewards > Distribute Rewards until the hotel GM or Champion deposits them in team members’ individual IHG® Rewards Club accounts or redeems for a team award.

• Hotels may also decide to share points evenly or break out the points in another manner.

• Hotels will be able to keep the points earned in 2016 in the balance account on the site until February 15, 2017. All points need to be distributed to the team or redeemed for a team award by this date. After February 15, 2017, any points remaining in the Source account will be forfeited.Note: Points distributed to employees follow usual point expiration rules and do not have to be redeemed by the employee by February 15, 2017.

10 How are the points distributed each month and to whom?

14 Is there somewhere special employees can go to redeem their points?

• Yes, the Employee Catalog has items to choose from at discounted point value.• Employees can redeem for individual prizes and/or hotels can pool points for team rewards.• Our goal is to familiarize hotel teams with the value of awards and the redemption process, and

provide an added benefit that only they can get as participants of the Enroll for Rewards program.

• Monthly, when points are allocated in Source, hotels will be able to distribute them into individual accounts by selecting employee name on the Distribute Rewards page on Source.

• The site displays the number of enrollments and valid email each employee made that month so hotels can divide the points based on the actual number of valid emails.

• Hotels also have the option to split the points equally or in any other allocation by inputting the number of points they want to distribute.

• The system will not allow hotels to deposit more points than are available in their account.• Individuals who wish to redeem their points for an award from the IHG® Rewards

Club Employee Catalog may do so from their individual account once they have received their points.

15 How do we share the points among members of the front desk team?

Note: Every employee must have their own enrolling EMP ID to ensure they are on the monthly files.

• The best solution is to immediately set up the team with their own individual enrolling EMP IDs and have them start inputting enrollments (look for instructions in Loyalty Connect Initiative page in Merlin).

• Points should be deposited into the General Manager’s IHG® Rewards Club account when ready for a team purchase to be made.

• Only the points needed for the prize should be moved from the hotel balance account to the General Manager’s account.

• IHG® Rewards Club and Maritz (the vendor who manages all member and employee redemption fulfillment) may briefly hold large team redemption orders to confirm they are valid and approved.

• Points moved to the GM’s account for a team award and not used within 2 days will be considered to be fraudulent activity.

• If you distribute points to the wrong member number, please contact the Help Desk through IHG® Rewards Club Source > Contact > Enrollment Incentive > General Inquiry within 5 days of the distribution.

• Please have all information to correct the distribution (account number, where the points were posted to, the account number they should be posted to and number of points involved) for the Help Desk.

• Any distributions older than 5 days will NOT be corrected. All corrections require IHG management approval.

• If a hotel has too many instances of points deposited into the wrong account, they may be excluded from the program. Hotels with multiple corrections in one month will not be honored.

• Points will be awarded around the 20th of the following month directly into the hotel’s balance account on Source.

• Hotel Loyalty Champions and GMs should visit Source to see how their hotel performed for the month, see the points awarded to their hotel and make any point distributions to the team.

• Unfortunately, no. Because of the way enrollment and email data is captured between the hotel PMS and Magic there is not a way to get accurate real-time data on your enrollments and your hotel’s email captures.

• Data will be shared in Performance Tracker the 20th of the next month and on the Enroll for Rewards Source page within days after Performance Tracker.

• We encourage your hotel to enroll as many guests and capture as many emails as you can each month to ensure you meet (or exceed) your hotel’s monthly targets.

• Your hotel may stroke tally your enrollments and email captures to give some direction, but note that your numbers may not match the Performance Tracker and Enrollments data because of duplicates or other factors in the validation process each month.

IHG® REWARDS CLUB 2016 HOTEL ENROLLMENT INCENTIVE

PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT

1. The following InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) brands, located within the U.S., Canada, Mexico, South America and the Caribbean, are eligible to participate in the IHG® Rewards Club 2016 Enrollment Incentive: InterContinental®, Crowne Plaza®, Hotel Indigo®, EVEN Hotels®, Holiday Inn®, Holiday Inn Select®, Holiday Inn Resort®, Holiday Inn SunSpree® Resorts, Holiday Inn Express®, Staybridge Suites® and Candlewood Suites®.

2. Program timing: January 1 – December 31, 2016.

3. All IHG® Rewards Club Enroll for Rewards communications will be sent to the attention of the participating hotel’s General Manager and Loyalty Champion.

4. Hotel management must inform the Front Desk Staff of the following:

Train Front Desk enrollment team on how to enter a new IHG® Rewards Club Enrollment into the system so it registers in the system as a "Qualified Enrollment” (Only Qualified Enrollments count toward monthly and quarterly goals).

Train Front Desk enrollment team on how to properly obtain and enter a valid email address and enter it into the system so it registers as “valid” (Only valid emails are eligible for payout towards monthly goal).

Inform Front Desk Team of incentive qualifications described in Yearly and Quarterly communications and the employee’s right to receive the incentive payments.

Motivate the hotel enrollment team to meet your hotel’s Enrollment Standard Goal and valid email capture goal each month.

Share all monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc communications related to the program

Instruct your Front Desk team on the importance of capturing valid email addresses in 2016.

5. Supporting 2016 program materials will be provided to all hotels via IHG® Rewards Club Source.

6. Enrollments are considered "Qualified Enrollments" when:

The IHG® Rewards Club membership number is entered in the guest information record in the hotel’s Property Management System (PMS) AND in the guest’s existing reservation within the HOLIDEX® PLUS Reservation Systems.

The enrollment date must be within one day before check-in and one day after check-out.

The stay must be at the same hotel as the enrollment and duplicate enrollments will not be counted as a “Qualified Enrollment.”

7. Valid emails are considered to be:

Those that are not duplicates in the IHG® Rewards Club system.

They must be in standard email format (ex. ____@____.____).

Valid emails must be active and able to receive emails as determined by third party verification and receiving no bounce back messages from the IHG® Rewards Club Welcome email.

8. Enrollments phoned in, faxed in, or entered into the system without a qualifying stay are not eligible in this incentive.

9. Qualified Enrollments will be determined at the sole discretion of IHG. Email validation will be determined at the sole discretion of IHG in cooperation with StrikeIron a third party validation company. If fraudulent activity is detected, the Front Desk Employee and/or hotel responsible for

the action will no longer be eligible to participate in the IHG® Rewards Club 2016 Hotel Enrollment Incentive.

10. Each Front Desk Employee must use his/her unique IHG® Rewards Club employee identification

number when enrolling new members, to ensure he/she receives proper credit for all enrollments. Please note, employee identification numbers are different than personal IHG® Rewards Club member account numbers.

11. If an employee does not know his/her assigned unique IHG® Rewards Club employee

identification number, he/she must immediately call the IHG® Rewards Club Service Center at: 1-877-275-7258. 12. Front Desk Employees must obtain guest permission prior to enrolling guest in IHG® Rewards Club and/or entering their email address into the system. Random enrollment audits are conducted by IHG® Rewards Club on a monthly basis. Should any Front Desk Employee be identified as not having obtained guest permission or having enrolled existing IHG® Rewards Club members or email addresses in the system, resulting in a duplicate membership or email address or having otherwise misrepresented enrollments or email addresses, the applicable Front Desk Employee and the applicable Hotel will be immediately disqualified from the incentive program. IHG will also investigate enrollments at hotels when a guest complains of having been enrolled without their knowledge or permission and, if the guest complaint is verified, the applicable Front Desk Employee and the applicable Hotel will be disqualified from the incentive program and further action may be taken by IHG® Rewards Club.

13. Throughout the Program duration, 500 IHG® Rewards Club points per Qualified Enrollment with Valid Email will be paid either to the Front Desk Employee or to be used as a Team prize (subject to the hotel’s choice), provided that the hotel meets their monthly qualified enrollment AND valid email capture minimums. Hotels will have to meet their monthly enrollment goal and achieve the same target level of valid email capture on those enrollments to earn a pay-out.

For Example:

Example Hotel A Enrollment standard = 30 Valid email target = 30 Hotel A gets 45 QEs and 33 valid email addresses Hotel A is awarded for 33 QEs with valid email (33 x 500 points ea)

Example Hotel B Enrollment standard = 30 Valid email target = 30 Hotel B achieves 35 QEs and 28 valid email addresses Hotel B does not earn the incentive because email target was not met

Approved adjustments to a hotel’s quarterly standard will impact their monthly qualified enrollment and email capture target for the incentive. A hotel Enrollment Standard waiver status must be communicated to Enroll for Rewards prior to the 15th of the month in order to affect the following month’s payout. (i.e. Enroll for Rewards must be notified of waiver status by May 15 to affect June’s payout).

14. Hotels that chose to redeem points for “Team” prize must leave all points in the hotel balance

account in Source until ready to redeem.

All points earned in the 2016 Enroll for Rewards program must be distributed by February 15, 2017 or the hotel balance account will be forfeited. 15. Only Managers and Loyalty Champions assigned on Source have access to distribute awards.

Once points have been deposited into an employees IHG® Rewards Club account, they cannot be transferred, unless in accordance with the IHG® Rewards Club Membership Terms and Conditions.

16. Monthly incentive IHG® Rewards Club points due to employees at qualified IHG hotels will be

issued either directly to the Front Desk Employees personal IHG® Rewards Club Account or if the hotel has opted for a team prize, the points will remain in the hotel’s balance account until ready to be redeemed, at which time they will be issued to the General Manager’s IHG® Rewards Club account. A qualified IHG® Rewards Club Enrollment Statement will be posted on the Enroll for Rewards website each month, detailing the amount of points each Front Desk Employee has earned for the period. For example, all Qualified Enrollments made in the month of March 2016 will be distributed on or before April 30, 2016. As a security measure, only the names of employees who have made an enrollment in the most recent month will appear on the distribution page. If a participating Hotel leaves the IHG system before the monthly incentive payout has been issued, the Hotel will not be eligible for the incentive payments. Hotels and Front Desk Employees must be employed, and the hotel is open in the IHG system, at the time of payout.

17. All payments will be subject to any local tax regulations and deductions if applicable.

18. It is the responsibility of the Loyalty Champion to ensure that Enroll for Rewards earnings are

distributed fairly and accurately amongst the front desk team or used as a Team award. IHG® Rewards Club will conduct regular system wide hotel audits and action will be taken against hotel management and staff who have not properly distributed rewards, including, but not limited to, withdrawal from the Enroll for Rewards program. IHG® Rewards Club will investigate any claims of incentives not being properly awarded to individuals or teams and, if found to be accurate, will take action against hotel management and staff who have not properly distributed awards up to and including terminating participation in the program.

19. U.S., MSAC and Canadian Residents. If a Front Desk Employee moves to another hotel within the IHG® Rewards Club Family of Brands, his/her incentive awards must deposited into the employees IHG Rewards Club account. If the employee is terminated or resigns, his/her incentive points received by the hotel after his/her date of termination do not have to be distributed to the employee but, if not distributed to that employee, must be applied toward a 2016 Front Desk team award.

20. The IHG® Rewards Club 2016 Hotel Incentive reserves the right to add, modify, delete or otherwise change any rules and / or Terms and Conditions related to the Program at its sole discretion, with or without notice.
