Motupipi Triathlon This week we have been trying to dodge the rain while training for our triathlon, which is set for tomorrow at the Pohara Camp. The majority of children have had their bikes here and have the transition from swim to bike pretty well sorted. The weather looks to be fine so we are looking forward to a good day. Any help with transporting the 115 bikes to Pohara Camp would be appreciated and we plan to pack the bikes onto trailers at 10.30am.
The day’s plan is 10.30am Load trailers with bikes 11.00 am Leave Motupipi for Pohara camp, line up bikes, morning tea, walk course 12 noon Races to start in following order 10yrs, 9 yrs, 8 yrs, 7yrs, 6yrs, 5 yrs 1.00pm Prizegiving 1.15 pm Lunch - Sausage sizzle available $2.00 – children to order lunch at school on Friday morning, extras will be available for adults to purchase.
Children will need lunch, drink, sunhat, togs, towel, shoes / sandals (not jandals), t-shirt / rash vest for biking.
If you wish to drop your child’s bike /scooter earlier at the camp, you may do so. There will be age signs for the placement of bikes, which will be set up early in the morning by the beach entry opposite the playground.
Swimming Pool
The pool temperature has started to
drop down after this spell of rain and
cooler weather. Class instructional
swims have stopped, however the pool
will still be open for afternoon swims in
the 1.30 – 2.00pm break.
The pool will close on the last day of
term, which is Thursday 2nd April.
Keys can be returned to the office and
a refund of $15 will be given.

ROOM THREE ARTWORK AND WRITING
Drama Workshop Cherysh, Mikey and Jaiden went to a Drama workshop on Wednesday. Below are comments of what they valued from the day. Doing the actions to make a picture. Learning how to mime using a ball was great.. Jaiden
A great experience especially to be able to show my talents e.g. making a washing machine. It was a confidence boost. Mikey
Was fun acting out the Cinderella story. I liked being able to go back and try this again to get even better. Cherysh
