The recently concluded Mr. and Ms. SGEN (Southville Global Education Network) was a huge success. This year, the contest
was participated by the 6 high schools of the different SGEN schools, namely, Southville International School and Colleges,
Stonyhurst International School Malarayat and Batangas, South Mansfield College, Southvillle Foreign University and SEED
Academy. The candidates of SISC were Alexa Therese Derpo of Grade 10 and Sancho Calderon of Grade 11.
Mr. and Ms. SISC exuded poise, confidence and wit. Their answers to the question and answer portion earned a thunderous
clap from the audience.
The question asked was:
“If you will be given a magic wand that has the power to change or improve something in your school, what would you
change or improve and why”?Alexa: The way people view themselves because God sees us as beautiful people and we should see ourselves as that.
Sancho: I will change people’s hatred into love because love is the strongest thing in the world.
Our very own Mr. and Ms. SISC further shared that the experience gave them the opportunity to develop the 5Cs in them:
Character, Competence, Commitment to Achieve, Creativity and Collaboration.

After meeting the adviser of your child in the Parent-
Teacher Conference (PTC) on October 7, 2016, please
find time to meet the sponsor of your child in school. All
Grade 3 up to Grade 12 students have each an assigned
teacher, officer, or staff member who meets with them
regularly and acts as their ardent friend, supporter,
encourager, coach, and guide.
If you don’t know your child’s sponsor, just ask his/her
class adviser who has the class sponsorship list. Let
us collaborate together in making our children grow
towards maturity and inner-directedness.
The PTC schedule will be 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
(following pre-arranged schedule for parents) in
Munich, STAR & Luxembourg Campuses. There will
be no classes in all campuses on October 7 to give
way to the PTC.
