BRIEF CHURCH HISTORY
The Mt. Olive Baptist Church located in Milwaukee, WI is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor who is called by God and dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ.
Mt. Olive Baptist Church was organized on June 12, 1936 by Reverend O.W. Fuqua. We have
been blessed to have five pastors since our establishment. We are actively involved in the community through missions and other outreach activities. Mt.
Olive is recognized as a church that cares for all of God’s people. Our aim is to stand true to our mission statement: “a church designed to meet the needs of the people through equipping them to evangelize the world for Christ”.

Job Posting Position: Senior Pastor Church: Mt. Olive Baptist Church located in Milwaukee, WI is prayerfully seeking a full-time Pastor who is called by God and dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ. We are seeking a Pastor who will lead and guide us focused on our mission statement: “a church designed to meet the needs of the people through equipping them to evangelize the world for Christ.” Job Summary: The Pastor will be responsible for providing spiritual, pastoral and strategic leadership for Mt. Olive Baptist Church by working with the Board of Deacons, Associate Ministers, Board of Trustees, and Ministry Leaders to establish short-term and long-term goals, strategies, plans and policies. This position operates in a leadership role in formulating and articulating the mission, vision, and core values of Christianity through preaching, teaching, administration, stewardship and outreach. The Pastor must be relational and have ability to connect with all people. This position is eligible for relocation assistance. Responsibilities:
1. Preach the gospel and administer the ordinances of the church. 2. Act as a moderator, when present in all meetings for the transaction of business. 3. Represent the church at denominational gatherings and to the wider community. 4. Lead the ministries of the church. 5. Supervise and provide oversight regarding all business affairs of the church. 6. Regularly conduct worship services, meetings to provide direction/leadership for spiritual and
organizational development. 7. Conduct or oversee special services such as blessings, baptisms, weddings and funerals. 8. Provide direction and guidance regarding church, business and civic matters for Mt. Olive. 9. Lead the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies and
processes for spiritual and organizational growth. 10. Collaborate with key ministry leaders to develop and implement short-range and long-range
plans and introduce new programs/strategies to obtain established objectives. 11. Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications: Education/Spiritual/Skills • Be a licensed and ordained Baptist Minister with ministry experience • Possess minimum of Bachelors’ Degree in Theology/Divinity from an accredited school or
seminary (Master’s degree preferred) • Must possess the biblical and spiritual qualities as set forth in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9 • Be born-again, called by God and dedicated to the ministry of Jesus Christ • Be a believer and follower in the Baptist doctrine and beliefs • Be a committed preacher of the Gospel • Be committed to full-time service through active participation in the church • Be proficient in administrative and managerial skills, written and oral • Must demonstrate ability to strengthen and support youth ministry and other ministries • Be able to deliver biblically sound (inspirational and spirit-filled) sermons
