Moodboards

Mood boards, also called design, sample, or presentation boards, are used to make presentations to clients.

Creating your own is a good way to get inspired, keep track of ideas, and visualise how your product will look.

What to do…• Collect pictures of things that you like. Look for textures, colors

and shapes that appeal to you.

• Browse music videos, magazines, newspapers and advertisements. Clip photographs of videos that you like. Cut out pictures of individual items that represent the style that you like.

• Make a sketch of what you'd like the finished item to look like. Use colored pencils to capture some of the colors you like.

• Apply the items and pictures to the board. Use removable tape or glue so that you can add or remove items.

• Place the items in the general order of the video or in sections for different scenes, locations or characters.
