Assure Model Old Facilitation Plan
Topic: Audio SetupsFacilitators: Giraldyne D. Semaña and Ivy Grace B. EnecitoLevel: Third Year High SchoolSubject: English (Speech Communication)Lesson Length: 55 minutes
Analyze Learners
The classroom consists of 30 students, 11 male and 19 female. The students range in age from 15 to 16 years old. The learning styles that are present in the classroom are divided into 3 major categories: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. The majority 60% of the learners are primarily visual learners, followed by 30% auditory and 10% kinesthetic. Student’s learning styles are comprised of a combination of the three learning styles, but it has been observed that most students benefit more from visual stimulation that other learning styles.
State Objectives
Students will be able to use on how to properly handle audio equipments that is appropriate in their lesson.
Select Media, Materials, and Methods
1.) Projector for opening PowerPoint Presentation of Audio Setups2.) Microphone3.) Cassette Player/ CD Player4.) Earphone5.) Hand-Outs
Utilize Media, Materials, and Methods
1.) The projector is to be used for the opening of PowerPoint presentation that introduces the Audio Setups. The presentation is designed to last approximately 15 minutes, and must be prepared beforehand. During the presentation, the concepts for the lesson will be introduced and a concrete example of setting up audio equipments will be presented. The audio equipments must be analyzed previous to the lesson time to ensure that is working properly.
2.) Students must use the given handouts after being divided into groups.3.) The next method to be used is Role Play. Students are divided into four groups. Each
group is required to present their given scenario (News Casting, Hosting a Talk Show, Singing Audition, and Hosting a Game Show.) When doing the Role Play, each group shall use the audio equipments.
Require Learner Participation
The introduction of the lesson is provided by the PowerPoint presentation. The presentation allows for the teacher to introduce the content in a visual-audio-kinesthetic way to accommodate the large number of visual learners. The presentation also provides a way to ensure that students are paying attention because the information given is essential to the activity to follow. The final goal is that students will apply on proper handling of audio equipments. The presentation should last around 15 minutes. Students are then divided into groups of four randomly based on their respective seating arrangement. The groups must engage in conversation to decide the information on proper handling of audio equipments that will be presented in their role play. The hand-outs of audio set-up will then be handed out as their guide. By keeping the structure of the entire class varied, students will not get bored easily because the role play serves them as their cooperative learning experience.
Evaluate and Revise

A rubric will be designed to grade the student concept maps. Because the lesson is designed around group completion, the complete grade for the lesson will be a group work. The grade will be 1 as the lowest and 3 as the highest score each criterion. The three criterion will be computed as total score.Criterion Poor (1) Average (2) Excellent (3) ScoreContent Members did not
