Kota Bharu is a city in Malaysia, is the state capital and Royal City of Kelantan Kota Bharu is situated in the northeastern part of Peninsula Malaysia

Lies near the mouth of the Kelantan Mouth at 6°8′N 102 15 / 6.133 102.25 / 6.133; ° ′E °N °E 102.25

This northeastern Malaysian city is home to many mosques

1844 - Kota Bharu was established

Announced as the Governing Centre of the state of Kelantan by His Royal Excellency Sultan Muhammad the Second

1936 - the city was upgraded as Kota Bharu Town Council (or Majlis Bandaran Kota Bharu - MBKB)

1971 - MBKB was abolished and changed to Municipality Board (or Lembaga Bandaran)

1978 - Kota Bharu Municipality Board was rearranged and was upgraded to become the Kota Bharu Municipality Council

GREEN SPACE

FOOD Ayam Percik >>chicken which is roasted over a wood fire and combined with

coconut/peanut sauce and delicious local herbs and greens

Nasi Ulam (locally called Nasi Kerabu) >> rice with fragrant, fresh-picked leaves and shoots, traditionally

dipped into ‘budu ‘(fish sauce), sambal belacan (shrimp paste with hot pepper)

Nasi Dagang Kelantan >> glutinous-textured rice is cooked in coconut

>>served with either a fish or chicken gravy

Murtabak Raja (Royal Murtabak) is the famous one on Jalan Bayam
