He is survived by one ton, Edward Ryder; three granddaughters, Elisdbeth . McKeen Walker of Palm Beach Gardens, FI(J., Mary McK-n Houghton of Pittaburgh, Po., and lisa McKeen McEvoy of Ambridge, Po.; six great-grandchildren, thr- nieces. Bom in Bingham, a son of Reuben and Z'~ ucette Ryder, he served in the Navy during World War D.
Mr. Ryder retired in May from the Lincoln PuJp and Paper Co., where he worked lor 45 years.
He was past District Deputy Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Maine, past Master of Horeb Lodge, past High Priest of Mosaic Chapter, Member of the Maine Council of High Priest, Member of the Red Cross of Constantine, Tamerlane, Conclave. A member of St John's Commandery, a member of Annab Temple Shrine and a life member of a Northern Penobscot Shrine Club. He was a member of the Lincoln Congregational Church.
Swviving are his wife, Wynona Archer Ryder; two daughters, Quita Ryder of Scalborough, and Ruth Weatherbee of Lincoln; a sister, Gloria Stevens, and a brother Reuben Ryder, both of Lincoln; and two grandsons.
A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Clay, Stevens ~···

He was born in SomerviiJe, MaSS., son of Fhil and Willctta Brenton Rycr.
Mr. Ryer, who served in the lOth Mountain Division during World War II. moved here in 1985 after retiring from his business.
He was the current commander of the Oriental Commandry, Knights Templar, at Bridgton, and a past commander of the Coeur De Lion Commandry, Malden, Mass. He was also a member several other Masonic organizations. ·
Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Margaret Cameron Ryer; a son, Bruce Russell Ryer of Naples; a daughter, Mrs. Jean Ryer Peachey of Waltham, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Swanbeck and Mrs. Doris Chester, both of Millis, Mass.; and six grandchildren.
A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hall Funeral Home, Casco.

Auburn, Sept. 9-Rutellua Andrew Ryerson, 81, former State Representative and nine years a city official, died today at his home, 147 Lake Street, Auburn, after a long Illness.
Mr. Jiyerson served as Repre8elltat!ve to LeJislatu..~ from Livermore and Turner In 1895 and 1897, and after coming to Auburn In 1910 he served on the Board of Allae&sara for nine years, and was Its chairman for six. He was a truatee of the Auburn Public Library, a dlrector of
.. the Auburn Savings and of the d Mechanic Sa.vlngs Banks; and he was
long active In the Court Street Baptist Church, serving as lll<lderator and
.. deacon many years. He was also a member of the Masons and had held state offices In the Grange.
While a resident of Livermore, he was superintendent of schools for nine years, and was a member of the school committee for 17 years.
Mr. Ryerson was born at Livermore, the son of Andrew J. and Colwnb!a Lyford Ryerson. In 1883 he married Besie E. Chase of Livermore, who died three years later, and In 1898

SANFORD - Wilbur L. Ryerson, 93, of Springvale, formerly of Acton, Maine and Westw~ Mass., died Monday, Nov. 18, 2002. Mr. Ryerson was born on May 31, 1909 in Somerville, Mass., a son of Harry and Jennie Rice Ryerson. He was a gl1lduate of Canton H.S. and of Boston University, Class of 1931, where he earned his BS and BBA. For over forty years, Mr. Ryerson worl<ed for Liberty Mutual Insurance before miring in 1974. He was a member of the Springvale Masonic Lodge AF & AM, lhc Springvale First Baptist Church, aod lhe Handel Hyden Society singers of Boston. Mr. Ryerson enjoyed the outdoors, particularly fishing and skiing. He also enjoyed singing in the church choir and was often asked to be a soloist for special occasions. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Frances DuBell Ryerson ofSpring\•ale; two sons. John L. of South Carolina. and Robert W. of Pembroke, Mass.; a daughter, Nancy C. Colbath Sabin, 78, husband of Estelle (Dawson) Sabin, di~ Dec. 10, 1992, at a Bangor nursing facility. He was barn Nov. 26, 1914, in Old Town, the son of Ralph H. and Augusta (Fling) Sabin. A graduate of Wilton Acade· my, he attended Farmington Normal School and later ~as employed by the Hood Milk Co. in Rumford. He served with the Army in the Washington, D.C. area during World War II. In 1946, he moved to Orono, where he worked as an insuran&..olesman for many years. Before retiring in 19n, he was employed by the Social Securi· ty Administration in the Bangor office for 12 years. A member of the Orono/ Old Town Kiwanis Club, he was also a
member Ofll"reWilton Lodge No. 156 AF & AM of Wilton and Anah Temple Shrine of Bangor. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are one son, Roger Dawson Sabin of Andover ; one daughter., Rosalind "linda" Wade of Kennebunkport; three grandsons; a twin sister, Rosalind Searles of Wilton; one cousin, Frances Fling of Old Town; many nieces and nephews. OAKLAND - Howard L. Sa·, bins, 76, died Saturday evening at a Waterville hospital following a long illness. He was born in Masardis Sept. 20, 1910, son of Lewis and Sadie <Leeman) Sabins.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the European Theater with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers.
He was employed several years by the Maine State Highway Department, now the Maine Department of Transportation, and 20 years by the town of Oakland, retiring in 1974.
In 1970, he was honored as Oak· land's Man of the Year.
He was a member of the Oakland-Sidney United Methodist Church, Messalonskee Lodge, Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons; IYork and Scottish Rites, Oakland Chapter, Order of Eastern Star; Kora Temple Shrine, Order of Am· aranth, High Priesthood; Samaritan Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows; Abraham Encampment, Dorcus Rebekah Lodge and Ernest A. Rutter Veterans of Foreign Wars post of Oakland.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan Cobb of Windham and· Diane Brown of Schenectady, . N.Y.; one stepson, Wayne Witham; of oakland; a brother, William Sa-. bins of Clinton; two sisters, DorothY Over of Fairfield and Edwina

He was a member ol First Parish Church, a SO·year member of United Lodge ol Masons and was a member of the Maine Audubon Society. For many years he was , active in Boy Seoul Troop 33. which met at First Parish Church.

A funeral service will be beld at 2 p.m. Friday at Davis Funeral Home,
