Parent/Guardian of Nathan Hale 9th, 10th, and 11th Grade Student:

I am writing you regarding final parent course verification of your student’s class selections for next year,

the 2019-2020 school year.

Earlier in February, students were involved in a scheduling week where they had an opportunity to review

their current transcript, understand the graduation credit requirements, explore the course catalog, have

discussions regarding courses with parents/teachers, select their classes for next year and ultimately enter

their 2019-2020 course requests into the Skyward information system.

Now, parents have the opportunity to review their student’s 2019-2020 course requests and have a

final opportunity to make any adjustments to their student’s selected courses by next Monday,

February 25th at 11:59 pm, before the selection process is finalized.

The process to review your student’s 2019-2020 course requests is as follows:

Parents with their student should go to the WAWM District website and under the “student” tab

select “student tools” and then “skyward” taking you to the student login page.

Parents with their student should then log onto the Skyward information system with

your Student’s Username (“s” followed student lunch number) and Password (lower case first and

last name initial followed by birth date-6 digits).

Down the left side of the Student Access homepage under “Home” select “Schedule”

On this schedule page, look on the top-right and click on the “View Requests for 2019-2020 in

Nathan Hale High” link.

Your student’s selected courses are displayed for review on the right side of the

screen under ‘Selected Courses”.

If you approve of the selections, nothing is to be done. If discussions between you and your

student result in a change in courses, you utilize the “remove course” and “add course” tabs, as your

student has been previously trained in. Available courses to select from are on the left side of this

schedule screen.

After Monday, February 25th at 11:59 pm, any course changes will only be considered and made

according to School Board Policy (343.1).

Please communicate directly with your student’s school counselor or the Student Support Services office at
