• The Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning subsector has the
most injuries.
• The Masonry subsector has the highest rate of injuries.

Struck-by Vehicles• Between 2011-2018, there were
4,980 non-fatal injuries in construction.
• During the same period there were 502 fatal injuries.
• In 2018, construction accounted for 20% of struck-by vehicle
fatalities.

• Assess awareness of National Work Zone Awareness Week and
support a National Stand-Down to Prevent Struck-by Incidents

Inform the development of new resources and strategies to
protect workers by reducing struck-by hazards
