Voyage data recording and playbackA very useful addition to ECDIS for vessels not required tocarry type approved VDR, this feature automatically capturesall own and other vessel data without crew action, stores thedata compressed and encrypted in archives and enablesvoyages to be reconstructed from the playback function.

It provides vital evidence in the event of incident or damageand has assisted customers in resolving insurance claims.

For the data to be replayed on another PC, an office-basedNavmaster installation is required.

Modular hardwareAll components of the hardware have been typeapproved individually and as part of the NavmasterECDIS. Modular components offer greater installationand maintenance flexibility and allow customers adegree of choice. The PC processor can be stored inunder-counter housing with TFT display, keyboard andtrackball at the conning position. Alternatively allcomponents can be built into integrated bridge consoles.The display could be upgraded to a larger size for just thecost of the display or the PC components could be upgradedlater to accommodate future ECDIS developments.

In the event of faults, individual components can beisolated and removed/replaced, allowing the ECDIS tocontinue functioning with a substitute component untilmaintenance is complete.

Aftercare and servicePC Maritime’s aim is to provide customers with first classsupport. Although often not considered at initialpurchase, experience has shown that the quality ofsubsequent support and maintenance are very importantto customers and can significantly reduce running costs.
