Sabine Bahn and Chris Lowe, co-founders of Psynova Neurotech received the Life Sciences Award, and Carlos Ludlow and Howard Chase of Enval Limited were recognised in the Materials/Chemistry category. The ACES is a pan-European competition among companies spun out from universities to recognise the best academic entreprene urs from across all technology disciplines. The competition is open to entrepreneur s in the European Union and countries affiliated with European Union’s 7th Framework Programme for research, including Israel and Russia. This year, the ACES drew nominations from Europe to Bashkorostan and culminated in an awards ceremony hosted by the ET H Zurich. Cambridge spin-outs recognised at European entrepreneurship awards

Two Cambridge Enterprise portfolio companies were recognised in the thirdannual ACES awards, held in Zurich on 3 February and awarded by theScience|Business Innovation Board.

Sabine Bahn and Chris Lowe, co-founders of Psynova Neurotech receivedthe Life Sciences Award, and Carlos Ludlow and Howard Chase of Enval

Business Weekly and CfEL launch Cambridge GraduateEntrepreneur of the Year Award

A new prize to honour entrepreneurship at theUniversity of Cambridge has

been launched to commemoratethe 21st Anniversary East of England Business Awards.

The Centre for EntrepreneurialLearning at Judge BusinessSchool is sponsoring a

Cambridge Graduate Business of the Year Award, which will bepresented for the first time at a gala dinner on March 24 at Queens’College, Cambridge and will then be awarded in perpetuity.

The award is designed to recognise the most innovative enterprise

launched by a Cambridge graduate. To qualify, a business enterprisefounded by a Cambridge graduate should have typically enjoyed aminimum of three years outside of the immediate University compassand gained at least a modicum of commercial success. Read more
