Brethren,
April brings a very busy month for all of us! We will start it off with our Stated Meeting on the 7th. We should have some Degrees this month, a Fellowcraft or possibly a Master Mason on the 14th & an Entered Apprentice on the 21st. There is a Rusty Nail Degree at Mt. Moriah 39 in Henderson on the 15th. I will be attending and would like to invite all of you to join with me if you can.
The Lodge will be Sponsoring the Child ID booth at the Highland Games on the 18th and 19th in which we DESPERATELY NEED VOLUNTEERS! On the 20th we have the 51s Game with all the other Lodges. The Scottish Rite Reunion is on the 24th & 25th. Lastly we will be dark on the 28th for those of you who wish to attend Zelzah Shrine.
As you can see there are a lot of opportunities for Light and Fellowship. Please be as Active as you can and I hope to see many of you at all of these upcoming events!
On the Square,
Bro. WM
Meal suggestions are welcome even if
ignored. It may seem that we have a set menu but really it is up to the whim of our Tyler, or anyone for that matter. If you have a good idea please let us know. A number of the brothers have made comment about how orderly, and smoothly things have been going this year. The Stewards, Marshals, Tyler and a good number of other brother masons in our lodge have been doing a lot of terrific work, keeping the lodge up and operational. The lodge is set up and clean, the meals are always on time and of top order and this has to be due to the dedication and initiative of the individuals who are the next up and coming generations of our lodge. We should be proud to have these brothers. Things to remember
Eat regularly.
Get enough sleep.
Sometimes being an AHO is necessary.
Stop talking and listen.
Don't take anyone's S..t.
Things Will get better.
If someone cannot make an effort to be in your life they don't deserve to be there.
It only ends once, everything else is progress.
A good cup of tea will solve just about anything.
Stick to your guns.
Impromptu, solo dance parties can be good for your health
Spend time with the people who matter most.
Be kind By the Plumb
Brethren,
This article will be brief. Our annual gun raffle was a success! Our net profit to the lodge was $1,414 after donating to Bikes for Books, Child ID and our Scholarship program. My heart felt thanks to every brother who sold tickets and donated their time and services to making this a great fundraiser. It is now time to turn my attention to our next venture: the Fireworks Booth. I will be sketching and finalizing my designs on my Trestleboard but rest assured the most important days will be Thursday night, July 2nd through Saturday July 4th. If you will be in town please plan accordingly. I look forward to seeing you
