John Franklin Nelson II, 53, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at in Amarillo.

He was born June 27, 1955, in Pomona, Calif., to Donald and Ethel Nelson.He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Ronald Nelson and Marty Lewis.

He is survived by his wife Deanna, five sons, Nic Howell and wife Melissa of Borger, John Franklin Nelson III of Borger, John Franklin Nelson IV of the home, Chris Nelson of North Carolina and Jayden Nelson of the home; one daughter Miranda Blackburn and husband Jerry of Amarillo; one brother Bill Nelson of Odessa; one sister Gena Luman of Fritch; father-in-law Marion Howell and seven grandchildren. The family will be staying at 402 Beech in Borger. Contact numbers for them are 806-340-9691 and 806-395-0284.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at Word of Life Church with Rev. Leonard Forsythe officiating. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa.
