2. Cell membrane is stimulated. Na+ channel opens, Na+ flows into channel, making cell positive – depolarization

3. In turn, this causes K+ channels to open

4. K+ flows out of cell – repolarization

5. Na+/K+ pump returns the Na+ and K+ back to resting potential

4. Occipital – concerned with many aspects of vision
