session• Ask for introductions at end• Key: Persistence, Know What You

Want

HOW TO CRAFT A KILLER NETWORKING EMAIL• Make a connection• Explain who you are — succinctly• Flattery gets you everywhere• Get over your age• Make a specific request

10 DOS AND DON'TSDO• Schedule Information sessions (informal

conversations). They are an incredibly powerful tool• Always ask for 2 additional connections at the end

of meetings• Find some common ground to warm up the

connection when sending cold emails• Treat all talks about your career like an interview

(don't pour your heart out -- know your agenda)

• Use information from your convo. to tailor it, and attach it to your follow-up email.

10 DOS AND DON'TS DON'T• Ask to connect with people without context. Always

give context...whether it's an online or offline connection

• Lose track of what you're trying to do, which is build a relationship. Listen to people. The goal is not a business card

• Make a connection and then let it go cold. You never know how or when each contact in your network could help you. Keep people updated and check in!

• Make the person who you're asking for help work hard to help you. Make it as easy as possible for them.

• Ever be hesitant to introduce yourself to someone.
