“The Brew Review” Take a look next door to our shop and soon you will see a micro-brewery with a

tasting room opening up! They will also have growlers available, meaning you

can fill up your growler bottle for a cheaper price.

While we will definitely miss the death metal band practicing next door, I think our

new neighbours will be much more appreciated!

Propane and Natural Gas Basic

• The 2 main differences of propane and natural gas are the size of the ori-

fice hole located on the burner tube (propane is smaller) and the pressure it

is delivered at (propane is higher). This orifice controls how much gas gets

into the burner.

• Propane appliances run at a pressure of 11-17 inches water column (14” water column= 1/2” PSI)

• Natural gas appliances run at 7-11” water column

Therefor, if you plug a propane BBQ into a natural gas source the flames would be tiny.

If you plug a natural gas BBQ into a propane source, the flame would be

huge… Not good unless you are camping and there’s no fire ban.

BUSINESS AS USUAL

The shop is starting to run a lot smoother. It is clean, organized, and Andrea has imple-

mented some great systems. These systems are being utilized by some of you, but not all

of you.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:

• You are required to check in with Andrea first, prior to going to EMCO on your own

(within reason)

• Andrea is available at least twice a day to make deliveries. She utilizes the shop in-

ventory first, prior to completing orders at EMCO which the most important part of this

system. In addition it will not take away from your job (priority).

• Speak to Andrea before renting any tools (we have just had many repairs done)

• Andrea is now included in upcoming jobs and schedules in wunderlist. She will be

communicating with the assigned person in advance to ensure material required has

been ordered. Feel free to coordinate with Andrea to have your material delivered

ahead of time.

• All PRV stations can now be built by Andrea and labelled for pickup. Please create a

task in wunderlist and assign it directly to her. Be detailed on requirements and include

a date date.ie. Sprinklers? Water service size? Water distribution size?

EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH!!

CONGRATULATIONS to Colin! Colin– Your prize is in your slot at the shop.

Colin has been with us since the start of our existence! He has proven time

and time again that he is a leader, mentor, organized, efficient and has a level of quality to be very proud of. In December and January alone Colin has under-taken the Mireau, his first commercial job. As a foreman he has already been showcasing his versatility and drive to further his career. He has also been as-sisting Roger to take over the falls townhomes, all while running his own pro-jects. Colin is the definition of what New Era stands for and we could not be prouder to have him as a leader on our team. This employee of the month is

well deserved. Great job Colin!
