New High School Concept Proposed Bond Projects for Alamance-Burlington Schools In November 2018, Alamance County citizens will vote on a $150 million bond project proposal approved by the Alamance-Burlington Board of Education. If approved by county voters, bond funds will pay to construct a new high school and provide renovations and upgrades to 8 of the district’s 36 schools.

If approved by Alamance County voters, proceeds from the bond referendum of November 2018 will pay for the construction of a new 1250 student high school with a core capacity of 1500 situated between Southern Alamance and Eastern Alamance high schools to help alleviate overcrowding. Cost Estimate: $67,012,616 (includes project costs and land acquisition)

Completed project will include: • Land acquisition • Utilities to site • School building construction of approximately 240,000 SF • Athletic fields and associated buildings for concessions, ticketing, restrooms • Parking and drives • Stormwater measures (retention ponds, etc.) • Survey • Soil borings
