Swimming Carnival Thank you very much to all of the volunteers who assisted with the running of our swimming carnival last Wednesday. Thank you also to the families who were able to come along and cheer for their children. It is wonderful to see so many families involved in our school activities and the children gain so much from your involvement.
School Intake Zones Last year, the NSW Department of Education reviewed the school intake zones for enrolments. All public schools in NSW now have defined intake zones that their enrolments should come from. While our intake zone does not affect our current students, under the policy for enrolment of students in NSW Government Schools, each public school is required to ensure all new enrolments are within the designated zone. If you require further information about the enrolment policy, an Information for Parents form can be obtained from our front office.
Community BBQ Just a reminder that on Thursday 20 February, the P&C and the school will be holding a community BBQ at 5.30pm in the Infants playground.
Cyber Safety Parent Information Evening On Wednesday 26 February, we will be holding an information evening for parents about cyber safety for children. Kim Vernon, the Curriculum Officer, Digital Technologies in Focus Curriculum Specialist from the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) will be the facilitator of the information session. Kim has been working with our school for over twelve months now on a Digital Technologies project that we are involved in with ACARA. We will send out more details shortly about the evening.
Have a lovely week, Mrs O’Neill
