Thank you so much for all of your support. We are looking forward to performing for you!

ATTENTION ALL CHOIR PARENTS:This is a final reminder that our concert is next Thursday at 6:00. Singers must arrive at 5:30 to warm up. IMPORTANT ADDITIONAL information has been sent home with students several times regarding concert attire and expectations. If you are still missing the information, please visit acamusic.weebly.com and click on the "Concert Information" link on the homepage or pick up an information paper at the front desk. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Dobson.

DRESS REHEARSAL FIELD TRIP:All choir students need to turn in a field trip permission form by Monday, December 7th to attend our dress rehearsal at Church For All Nations. If your student needs an extra copy of the form, they are located inside Mrs. Dobson's room by the front door.

K-5 Physical Education – Mrs. NelsonGreetings! I hope your child is enjoying Physical Education (P.E.) as much as I love teaching it! The students at Addenbrooke are lucky that they have P.E. scheduled every day. This is not only beneficial to their health, but to their academics as well. In P.E. we will be working on gross motor skills, spatial awareness, sportsmanship, cooperation and nutrition among other things. I also strive to include math and literacy (speaking and listening) into all of my lessons. I hope that your child takes away something they enjoy to be life long movers!

P.E. Activities for this Year

Fall activities: Structures and routines, team building, playground games (four square and hop scotch) Golf in Schools, Mustang Mini Marathon, football, soccer, bowling, scooter skills, healthy highway, parachute, dance, dodging and fleeing.

Winter activities: Fencing, floor hockey, basketball, stunts and tumbling, team games (hoop castle and capture the flags), classical stretching (yoga), volleyball, jump ropes and paddle sports

Meet the Staff Christina Parsons-Middle School Science

Christina was born in Colorado Springs and attended Colorado State University in Ft. Collins for her Undergraduate Degrees in Psychology and Natural Sciences.  She was married last summer to Karl, an aerospace engineer from Longmont. She enjoys hiking, backpacking, and camping with her husband.  She also loves to cross-country ski in the winter. Christina loves to read in her spare time, as well as play keys and sing for her worship team.  Music is very important to her family.

Christina is pursing her Master Degree in Social Justice and Missions from Denver Seminary. She hopes to get a dog soon with her husband and she looks forward to spending time with family this holiday season, especially her sister, Katelynn, who is in middle school, and her step-brother, Nic, who is in law school at CU Boulder.

Christina is in her fourth year of teaching and enjoys helping students become as excited about science as she is. She has been with Addenbrooke since before it was a Charter! She looks forward to Outdoor Lab and taking the 8th grade students to Elitches for the Roller Coaster Competition in the spring.
