Congratulations to the 2014 Region 6 J.O. Club of the Year – Brestyan’s Gymnastics. Rising Stars Training Camps Rising Stars is the major fundraiser for the Region 6 Apparel Fund. This past year was the most successful in attendance for all of the years that I have run these clinics. Every one of our Rising Stars clinics was sold out. The coaches who volunteered at these clinics did a fantastic job. The funds from these clinics go directly back to our athletes. Due to the success of these clinics, the region was able to pay the entry fee for each Level 10 athlete at JO Nationals. The Rising Stars Clinics fill up very quickly and should not be missed! Some of the best coaches and judges in the region volunteer their time to help make this a successful learning experience. If you are interested in having your athletes attending these clinics, please do not delay to fill out the form in this newsletter. When I receive an entry into the Rising Stars clinics, I document the postage date of each entry. All entries are accepted on a first come, first accepted basis. I would like to accept everyone, but that is not possible. My goal is to have a safe, educational experience and for this reason, the number of athletes is limited. When the allotted numbers for each clinic are filled, the clinic must be closed. Please document which RS clinic you are entering and type or print neatly on the entry form. I am looking forward to these great clinics in the fall. Working Together for Nationals is a clinic that is offered to the athletes who have attended the Level 9 Eastern or Level 10 National Championships. The clinic is scheduled for Friday, October 3, 2014, 5:00 – 9:00 PM, at Aim High Academy, East Greenwich, RI. Entries to this clinic will be mailed to the gymnast’s club. Petitions are also accepted - if room allows. I hope that everyone has a safe and successful summer! Larry Goldsmith Region 6 JOCC
