VolunteerResourceManagerChangesDebbieKennedytookontheroleofourVolunteerResourceManagerafterDarleneKnudsen’sretirementlastJune.Afterherbrieftimewithusshehasdecidedtobeginanew‘chapter’inherlifeasasemi-retiredprofessionalandisleavingARH.Debbie’sleadershipprovideduswithanew,securelocationforourgiftshopstockaswellasanon-lineapplicationfornewvolunteers.Therewillbeatimeoftransitionbeforeanewmanagerishired.JaniceHansen,CoordinatorofVolunteerResourcesforCottageWorthingtonandtheResidenceinMissionwillbetakingontheparttime,supportrole.ShewillbetheprimarycontactforourAuxiliaryandwillbeon-siteMondayandFridayaswellastheoccasionalWednesday.JoanneHalliganandSallyGanzeveldwillprovidesupporttotheResourceDepartmentintheirrespectiveroles.WewishDebbieallthebestinhernewcareermove.

BCAHAProvincialConference–April20-22HarrisonHotSpringsisthesiteofthisyear’sprovincialspringconferenceentitled,StrategiesForSuccess.ThisconferenceisnowheldeverytwoyearsandourdelegateswhohaveofferedtoattendincludeMarilyn,Eleanor,MaggieandJoyce.WelookforwardtohavingthemsharetheirexperienceswithusatourMaymeeting.RememberingSadly,twoofourlong-timemembers,TimNgaiandDelBailypassedawaythiswinter.Theywillbemissed.MissionAccomplishedin2017Ourauxiliary’s2017contributiontotheFraserValleyHealthCareFoundationtotalled$108,000.Ourdonationshelpedtosupportthepurchaseofavarietyofequipmentandthesupportofvariousprograms.OnesuchpurchaseistheBrodaChair.
