The Productivity Standards Guide has been a useful resource for Faith’s project crews for many years, but with the integration of new technologies and tools (see graphic to left), today’s workforce is more productive then ever. Strategies to help ensure the success of a project - preplanning efforts, utilizing assemblies and materials through Excellerate, maximizing the use of robotic total stations, tools like toolbelts, carts, lifts and radios - have made today’s workforce more productive than ever before. For anyone unfamiliar with the standards guide, the tool establishes installation targets by jobsite density, providing the metrics to realize peak performance. As depicted in the illustration below, most projects can be divided into three density categories: low, medium, and high. These are the standards or targets we’ve developed for the three environment categories as it relates to installing conduit and cable trays, and pulling wire. While this is a great start, we do recognize that every project is different, and these numbers will be more of a moving target as we receive feedback from project crews and field leadership. We will also be providing employees with a pocket tracker to help note progress on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. It’s a great way to monitor progress, but more importantly, offers a sense of accomplishment when targets are reached and goals are achieved. What can this mean for you? Everyone has the opportunity to win if we hit these productivity target numbers. Customers can win with schedule, value and budget, and everyone at Faith wins as well. Field employees increase their opportunity for gainshare, and Faith stands to be more profitable. If you have any questions concerning your goals or feedback on the density metrics, please speak with your project manager or onsite supervisor. Together you can set more specific, meaningful goals project- by-project.

For anyone unfamiliar with the standards guide, the tool establishes installation targets by jobsite density, providing

the metrics to realize peak performance. As depicted in the illustration below, most projects can be divided into three density categories: low, medium, and high.

PRODUCTIVITY STANDARDS MAXIMIZE GAINSHARE OPPORTUNITY

Fire Estinguishers: Having a Class K fire extinguisher can help reduce the spread of a fire caused by cooking. (‘K’ stands for Kitchen, and contains extinguishing agents rated for flammable oils used for cooking.) The PASS method is an easy way to remember how to operate a fire extinguisher:

P – Pull the safety pin from the handleA – Aim the extinguisher nozzle or hose at the base of the fire,

not at the flames.S – Squeeze the handle slowly to discharge the agentS – Sweep side-to-side, approximately 6” / 15 cm from the fire

until expended. Keep a safe distance from the fire.

Smoke Alarms: Working smoke alarms cut the chances of dying in a reported fire in half. This is why it is important to ensure smoke alarms are in proper working order, and are placed strategically in bedrooms, other potential sleeping areas, and on every floor of the home. Test smoke alarms every month, and replace them every 10 years.

Escape Plans: Having an escape plan for the household allows family members to react with lifesaving speed, and reduces the effect of panic and confusion. Identify escape routes for your house and review them periodically.

For more information about the Fire Prevention Week, including planning materials, safety tips, statistical information, and other resources that can be used by fire departments, Fire Corps teams, and teachers, visit www.firepreventionweek.org.

The National Fire Protection Association designates the second week in October as fire prevention week. Fire Prevention Week was established to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire, the tragic 1871 conflagration that killed more than 250 people, left 100,000 homeless, destroyed more than 17,400 structures, and burned more than 2,000 acres. The fire began on October 8, but continued into, and did most of its damage on October 9. Over the past several decades, fire fighters have spent efforts in educating the public on fire prevention which has drastically reduced the amount of fires at home.

Here are some helpful safety tips to help keep to help keep your family safe this season.

ASK MIKE

Q. Would the company consider providing an annual allowance to cover the cost to purchase safety shoes and safety prescription glasses?

A. Faith currently offers reimbursement programs in

both areas. Faith’s safety shoe reimbursement program offers a 30% reimbursement (up to $30) per year. The prescription safety glasses program reimburses employees up to $100 per year for the purchase of prescription safety glasses. We continue to review these programs regularly, and are pleased to announce that Faith’s programs offer greater reward to our employees than others in the industry.

To receive a reimbursement for safety shoe or prescription safety glasses purchases, please submit your Itemized receipt to your project coordinator.

M3 INFORMATIONFor a comprehensive list of questions to Ask Mike and their corresponding answers, as well as the audio recording from the most recent M3, visit Faith’s SharePoint site (requires network access), or the My Employment site under communication > M3 communication.

HAVE A QUESTION?Please submit your questions, comments, or feedback to [email protected]. Questions will be addressed via email with the specific individual and/or shared during the next M3 meeting on October 21st at 7 AM and 11:30 AM CST.

Q. Is there a way to access electronic versions of the productivity standards resources shared during the M3 presentation?

A. Yes, the gainshare productivity target poster can be found on Faith’s SharePoint site > M3 Resources (requires network access).

Q. What’s the latest status with Faith’s 401k company match? Will it get higher?

A. The the overall benefit package, which includes the 401k match, is currently under review. Recommended changes will be released in the coming weeks. It has not been concluded yet on whether the 401k match percent will increase or not, but the leadership team is hoping to enhance those benefits for 2016.

P R O F E S S I O N A L D E V E L O P M E N T 2016 TRAINING WEEKS

In order to maximize productivity and align with the needs of our operational groups, we will be focusing our training efforts during the first part of the year. Instead of holding multiple training weeks throughout the year, all training week opportunities will be held during January-April. This will allow us to maintain our focus on job sites during the busier times of the year. The 2016 training schedule is as follows:

January 25-29, 2016 – AtlantaFebruary 8-12, 2016 – Tulsa

February 22-27, 2016 – Kansas March 7-12, 2016– Appleton March 21-25, 2016 – Tulsa April 4-8, 2016 – Appleton

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO QUALIFY FOR A 2016 PREMIUM DISCOUNT

Do you want to qualify for the additional company medical premium contribution in 2016? If you and your spouse (if enrolled in medical coverage) complete a HRA and meet the requirements based on the 2015 HRA score categories listed to the right, you’ll be all set.

All onsite Health Risk Assessments (HRAs) have wrapped up for the 2015 year, but if you have not yet completed your HRA, you may request a HRA lab kit to take to a designated local clinic contracted with Healics. The cost of the kit is $115 per person, which will be payroll deducted in $40 increments until it’s paid off. Because it is after the kit completion deadline of September 15th, those who complete their kits going forward may receive a delay in receiving their additional healthcare premium contribution for 2016.

If you have any questions regarding 2015 HRAs or need to order a HRA lab kit, please contact Wellness Program Administrator, Alyssa Kwasny, at 920.751.9815.

B E N E F I T S & W E L L N E S S P R O G R A M S

While the intent is for everyone to attend these scheduled training weeks, we will assess whether additional training weeks or onsite classes are needed to align with our business needs as we progress through the first quarter of the year.

Moving into the 2016 field evaluation process, as long as you are enrolled in or placed on a waiting list for any expired classes or other essential training needed for your classification, your eligibility for a classification change or merit increase will not be affected, as long as you attend the class(es) you are registered for. Consideration will be given to emergency situations and job needs only.

Please email Learning & Development or call 262-896-4179 to enroll in classes. In order to ensure a spot in the classes being offered, it is encouraged that you sign up as early as possible, as classes fill up fast! If you are currently on the waitlist for a class in 2015 and would instead like to be enrolled in that class in 2016, please let us know.

NOTE: To ensure the travel costs associated with attending a training week are minimized, employees are encouraged to attend one of the training weeks offered local to their job assignment. Additionally, L&D will be working with employees, coordinators, etc., to confirm employees are enrolled in all of the appropriate classes to ensure they are fulfilling all of their essential training requirements throughout the course of the week.

Mark your calendars: Open enrollment for 2016 health insurance and other benefits is November 2-20, 2015! We know that open enrollment can sometimes be an overwhelming process for employees. That’s why this year, for the first time ever, Faith Technologies will be offering an online open enrollment process. Watch your mail at the end of October, and be sure to visit the new Faith Benefits website! Here you will find all of the information to make informed choices related to 2016 benefits and will also complete the online enrollment process. (Please note that any plan changes you make during the Open Enrollment period will go into effect January 1, 2016.) Due to the number ofenhanced benefits and choices that will be offered, everyone is required to make new benefit elections for the 2016 year in order to stay covered.

In addition to updating our open enrollment process to be more convenient, more accessible, and more streamlined, we are also updating our medical benefits to give you more choice in selecting a plan that best meets the needs of you and your family! You will be receiving additional information about the plans (e.g. contribution levels, deductibles, maximum out of pocket limits) in your 2016 benefit package at the end of October.

Finally, we are excited to announce that it’s not just our health and welfare plans that will be offering you additional flexibility and choice in 2016! Stay tuned for more information later this month…

HAVE QUESTIONS?

STAYING HEALTHY JUST GOT EASIERWe want 2016 to be the year that you, our Faith employees, take control of your benefits. We want to give you the choices that empower you to make smart decisions to provide you with the best coverage for you and your family.

With that in mind, here are a few tips to keep in mind as we approach open enrollment:

• Assess your health and the health of your family members before making any decisions. For instance, plans with higher monthly premiums and lower co-payments and deductibles are best for those who will use a lot of health care services over the course of the year. Yet, healthy individuals and families may save a great deal by selecting a plan with low premiums and a high deductible.

• Examine how you allocated benefits last year beyond just medical insurance – dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, etc. If you invested in some of these benefits in the past and did not use them, consider omitting this time around.

• When you receive your open enrollment materials, be sure to check out the new benefits website. Watching the PowerPoint, which will explain the new benefit offerings, and reading up on the plans. This is a great way to learn the ins and outs of what’s in store in 2016.

With data centers in Arizona, Colorado, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon and Wisconsin, OneNeck IT Solutions delivers hybrid IT solutions to mid- and enterprise-sized customers. This includes cloud and hosting solutions; ReliaCloud® enterprise cloud services; managed services; ERP application management; professional services; and IT hardware.

Faith Technologies recently worked with OneNeck on their newest data center, located in Denver, CO. The facility was completed in June 2015, and includes 35,000 square feet of build-out space. Once fully-constructed, the building will cover 160,000 square feet on an 11.2 acre lot.

The newest OneNeck data center was built to meet demand from the continued boom in data storage and managed online services in the Denver area and throughout the Rocky Mountain region. In addition, the facility is designed to serve as a disaster tolerance/avoidance alternative for companies based throughout the United States.

Some of the equipment provided by Faith Technologies are (2) liquid filled pad-mount transformers, (2) 1500KW generators, (2) main switchboards w/ integrated TVSS, (2) 500kVA UPS systems, (6) battery cabinets, (4) tie cabinets, (20) Eaton PDU’s and panels. During the project, Faith provided installation services including the install of underground conduit, concrete pads, copper wiring, generators, UPS systems, transformers and switchgear, power feeders to all mechanical equipment, grounding, lighting, and commissioning support plus more.

In addition to their Denver facility, Faith Technologies is partnering with OneNeck to complete an expansion of the data center facility in Madison, WI, which is scheduled to be complete in December 2015. It is the third expansion phase at the facility.

Be sure to check out the time-lapse video of the Denver project below which shows the year-long construction process in just over three minutes!
