Document Description
NGN Multi-Product Configuration Guide for Customer Operation is applicable to Service Manager configuration engineer at operation stage.
This document is the guide used only after the establish stage. The condition is that all of the hardware configurations and all of the element software configurations have already been configed at establish stage.
This document is a guide for operation configuration engineer when the work ticket coming from the fulfillment engineer through IT system on Service Manager.
This document is different from normal product guide. All of the inputs are service request from work tickets, the configuration document is based on multi-product and services.
Document Objective
1 Understand how to do Call Gapping.
2 Understand how to provision service, to do configure by using EMS, according to work ticket.

Preparing for Configuration
Verify connection between N2000UMS & Softx3000
Step 1, Enter the topology diagram.
Step 2, Check the icon of softx3000 node:
If color is green: the connection between EMS and softx3000 is normal. If color is grey: the network connection is broken and needs to check the network. If color blue: the authentication is wrong and needs to confirm the password of softx3000
node in EMS.
Step 3, Confirm the color of softx3000 icon must be green, see figure above.
Using N2000BMS Client to manage AG
Step 1, Enter the topology diagram > Device navigator. See following diagram.

Step 2, Verify AG node colour.
Green: connection between EMS & AG is normal
Red: existing fault present in AG node
Grey: EMS lost comm with AG node; link broken
Step 3, To telnet into AG to configure service
> right click on the node
> telnet.
2.3 Using MML Client of Softx3000 in N2000UMS
Step 1, Right click the icon of the softx3000 node needed configuration.
Step 2, Select the Start Client menu to start the MML Client, see figure following.

Step 3, After selecting the Start Client, the MML Client will appear as follow:
Explanation:
1. On left menu under MML navigation tree, management classes are well defined . Commands related to respective managements can be found under the navigation tree. Double click the command to select for input-field; If the command is definite, you can directly input the command to the input-field and then press enter.
2. Top right window: output window to show the input command.
3. Help information pad: show the meaning of every parameter and give an example of command.
4. Right middle window: directly input command.
5. Right bottom frame: user-friendly command typing.
6. Alongside command input field, there are three tool icons (left to right), respectively showing-input-frame (Enter), executing (F9), listing-table (only for list command).
Notice:
Every time before modifying the configuration, list the current configuration and take note.

Start the softx3000 client in N2000UMS to do following:
Step 1, Press F5 to set the cursor to the input field.
Step 2, First display the current configuration, input command and press enter, then take note of the current configuration. It can show by table, see the following command and figure below.

Step 3, Input the command and then press enter to display the friendly input interface. see the following command and figure.

Step 4, After inputting all needed parameters and check it again, then press F9 or click the executing tool icon, wait a few seconds, it will return the result, it should be no fault returned.
Step 5, List the configuration again to confirm the operation.

Step 6, Test at heavy traffic time.
Notice:
Normally, the default setting is ok, the module will control the traffic in real-time. On heavy traffic situation like holiday, you can modify the cpu threshold value and only need to modify the threshold of FCCU module, other types of module does not need to modify.
For example on heavy traffic day:

Start the softx3000 client in N2000UMS to do following:
Step 1, Press F5 to set the cursor to the input field.
Step 2, Must to know that blacklist group number is 6001, White list group number is 6002.
1. If barring all of incoming trunk calls excepting some special A number, firstly, modify the trunk group to blacklist 6001, then use A number discrimination function to modify the permitted call to white list 6002. This calls scheme one.
2. If permit all of incoming trunk calls excepting some special A number, directly use A number discrimination function to reject the call. This calls scheme two.
Step 3, For scheme one (scheme two does not need to do) and first time using the incoming trunk group, modify the trunk group to blacklist 6001.
1.Firstly, list the current configuration.
LST TG: TG=1000;
2.Then, configure the incoming trunk grouping, See the follow command and figure following.

After inputting all needed parameters and check it again, then press F9 or click the executing tool icon, wait a few seconds, it will return the result, it should be no fault returned. To list the configuration again to confirm the operation.

Step 4, For both of schemes, Add the discrimination number to incoming trunk group. See the follow command and figure.

After inputting all needed parameters, check it again, then press F9 or click the executing tool icon, waiting a few seconds, it will return the result, it should be no fault returned. To list the configuration again to confirm the operation.
LST TGDSG: TG=1000;
Step 5, Add Caller Number Discrimination. For scheme one, modify the barring number of caller attribute to 6002, For scheme two, directly reject the call. See the follow command and figure.

Chapter 1 Document Description
1.1 Document Description
NGN Multi-Product Configuration Guide for Customer Operation is applicable to Service Manager configuration engineer at operation stage.
This document is the guide used only after the establish stage. The condition is that all of the hardware configurations and all of the element software configurations have already been configed at establish stage.
This document is a guide for operation configuration engineer when the work ticket coming from the fulfillment engineer through IT system on Service Manager.
This document is different from normal product guide. All of the inputs are service request from work tickets, the configuration document is based on multi-product and services.
1.2 Document Objective
1 Understand how to do Call Gapping.
2 Understand how to provision service, to do configure by using EMS, according to work ticket.
3 Understand how to do verification test after configuration
Chapter 2 Preparing for Configuration
2.1 Verify connection between N2000UMS & Softx3000
Step 1, Enter the topology diagram.
Step 2, Check the icon of softx3000 node:
If color is green: the connection between EMS and softx3000 is normal.
If color is grey: the network connection is broken and needs to check the network.
If color blue: the authentication is wrong and needs to confirm the password of softx3000 node in EMS.
Step 3, Confirm the color of softx3000 icon must be green, see figure above.
2.2 Using N2000BMS Client to manage AG
Step 1, Enter the topology diagram > Device navigator. See following diagram.
Step 2, Verify AG node colour.
Green: connection between EMS & AG is normal
Red: existing fault present in AG node
Grey: EMS lost comm with AG node; link broken
Step 3, To telnet into AG to configure service
> right click on the node
> telnet.
2.3 Using MML Client of Softx3000 in N2000UMS
Step 1, Right click the icon of the softx3000 node needed configuration.
Step 2, Select the Start Client menu to start the MML Client, see figure following.
Step 3, After selecting the Start Client, the MML Client will appear as follow:
Explanation:
1. On left menu under MML navigation tree, management classes are well defined . Commands related to respective managements can be found under the navigation tree. Double click the command to select for input-field; If the command is definite, you can directly input the command to the input-field and then press enter.
2. Top right window: output window to show the input command.
3. Help information pad: show the meaning of every parameter and give an example of command.
4. Right middle window: directly input command.
5. Right bottom frame: user-friendly command typing.
6. Alongside command input field, there are three tool icons (left to right), respectively showing-input-frame (Enter), executing (F9), listing-table (only for list command).
Notice:
Every time before modifying the configuration, list the current configuration and take note.
Chapter 3 Configuration Service
3.1 Configuration of call gapping (Based on CPU rate)
Following is the call gapping flow based on cpu rate
Start the softx3000 client in N2000UMS to do following:
Step 1, Press F5 to set the cursor to the input field.
Step 2, First display the current configuration, input command and press enter, then take note of the current configuration. It can show by table, see the following command and figure below.

Step 3, Input the command and then press enter to display the friendly input interface. see the following command and figure.

Step 4, After inputting all needed parameters and check it again, then press F9or click the executing tool icon, wait a few seconds, it will return the result, it should be no fault returned.
Step 5, List the configuration again to confirm the operation.

Notice:
Normally, the default setting is ok, the module will control the traffic in real-time. On heavy traffic situation like holiday, you can modify the cpu threshold value and only need to modify the threshold of FCCU module, other types of module does not need to modify.
For example on heavy traffic day:

2. If permit all of incoming trunk calls excepting some special A number, directly use A number discrimination function to reject the call. This calls scheme two.
Step 3, For scheme one (scheme two does not need to do) and first time using the incoming trunk group, modify the trunk group to blacklist 6001.

3. Testing
1. Testing after configuration
Step 1, Before dialing, it should be create a trace task. Run Softx3000 LMT, See the following figure.
Step 2, Set office information and Logon the LMT, See the following figure.
Step 3, After logon the LMT, Click the maintenance navigator tree, Select Service->Trace management->User Trace Task->Interface Signaling and double click, See the following figure.
Step 4, After double click, A interface is displayed. Input the caller number and the DN Set (if it is incoming from trunk, the DN Set should be 65534), then click the OK button to trace the signaling.
Step 5, After creating the trace task, It will test by dialing the certain callee by the caller being traced.
Step 6, See into the detailed signaling trace by double clicking each signal, to verify whether the configuration is correct or not.
