Revenue generation in terms of Savings Rs. 1,05,750/- reference to quotation

given by Krishtech Automations (Experimental Set up developed INHOUSE)

As these practical included in new syllabus of SE 2012 Pattern and most of the

colleges did not have the set up. Therefore, for conduction of these experiments

quotation is prepared a mentioned below

i. Batch size: Maximum 20-22 students per batch

8

ii. Charges for conduction of experiments are Rs. 2,000/- per experiment

per batch.

iii. Payment strictly by Cheque / Demand draft favoring "MES's Research &

Development Center" payable at Pune

iv. The schedule for practical will be fixed with mutual convenience.

Project#2 –

#“NI YANTRA – A Project Competition”:

One of the Data Acquisition System project done by electronics dept. students guided by

Prof. A. Mitra and Prof. S. B. Deshpande was selected in project competition NIYANTRA -

2014 organized by National Instruments. Out of 750 teams from all over India 66 teams were

selected for Round-2 and our college team is one of them where maximum no. of compotator

was from Prime institutes like IIT „s & NIT‟s. The list of selected team is shown below and

NY-10 is our Team ID.

9

Project#3 –

UG Project: Development of shock absorber test-rig for optimizations of vehicle

suspension systems.

10

This project is done by 2 groups from final year from Mechanical Branch and 1 group from

E&TC Branch as their final year project under the guidance of Prof.A.Mitra. This project is

fabricated in our campus under multi-disciplinary project which carries good weightage in

NAAC/NBA documents. This project enhances the domain knowledge of Data Acquisition

System using NI Hardware and LabView software which was beneficial for their placement

activities (4 students from Mechanical was placed) . The fabrication cost of this project

Rs.26,418/-.

Out of three groups, One group is participating in project competitions organized by

Sinhgad College and Two groups are presenting their work in International Conference

ICTACEM-2014 organized by IIT, Kharagpur.

This project is used to perform some of the experiments in Vibrations Lab for U.G/P.G.

11

Project#4 –

UG Project: Design, optimization and control of MAV ” guided by Prof.K.A.Mahajan

One U.G. project “Design, optimization and control of MAV ” guided by Prof.K.A.Mahajan

used NI Systems for measurement of Lifting Force. The aim of the experiment is to measure

the lifting force of an MICRO AIRAL VEHICLE (MAV). It is difficult to test any MAV‟s

lifting force in static condition and in real time interval. The MAV was attached on the one

end of the metal plate and another end is fixed to the table. The metal plate is loaded with two

strain gauges on two perpendicular planes and the deflection is measured through LABview.

The propeller produces thrust by pushing air down and that deflects the metal plate.
