In view of the upcoming Nigeria Environmental Summit 2016, a Nigeria trade delegation will be visiting the UK from the 2-7 May 2016 to engage with UK companies interested in the Nigeria Environmental Sector. The working team whom have been in constant collaborations with UK Trade & Investment's team in Nigeria are keen to promote business and partnership opportunities between Nigeria and the UK. The delegation will be on a UK wide tour and also attend the All Energy Event in Glasgow under UK Trade & Investment invitation, where they will engage with potential UK companies and investors sourcing for sustainable technologies and framework for a green economy.

The Nigeria Environmental Summit 2016 is targeted at promoting opportunities within the global environmental industry, attracting over 1500 participants from all over the world. This prompts the need for innovative strategies that will enhance environmental re-engineering, ensuring sustainable economic development, good governance implementation, food security, Agricultural technology, infrastructure for energy, transport, water, waste management etc. Direct engagement with Uk companies will promote investment opportunities and minimise challenges within the Nigeria Environmental sectors.

Businesses are actively looking beyond mere positioning and defence mechanism. Instead, they investigate opportunities for investment, resource efficiency, improved technology, infrastructure and power etc. Nigeria is an attractive investment destination and the Nigeria Environmental Summit aims to provides a platform to foster the involvement of various stakeholders to initiate business collaborations.

The Nigeria/UK Investment and partnership Forum which is supported by UK Trade & Investment will give opportunity to discuss current outlook of the Nigeria economy. It will aim to review current trends and partnership opportunities for investment.

Moved to the private sector in Nigeria as a consultant/director of UKTI in 2011 to capitalise on superb knowledge, reputation and a range of senior government and industry contacts in the rapidly emerging market and the UK. Served as Director UK Trade & Investment for a total of 8years in Nigeria, Africa's toughest market but with great potential for UK exports and Investments. Peter has also served in the FCO Israel, India and Ethiopia with rich Trade & Investment capacity.

Dada has over 34 years of Professional experience spanning various aspects of the Environment sector i.e Environmental Policy Analysis, Environmental Pollution Control, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Agreement Negotiations and Resource Mobilisation. He led Nigerian and African delegations to several multilateral Environment, Negotiations, Conferences and workshops across the world.He has also chaired many Global and Regional Technical Committees and actively participated in the preparation of several International, Regional and National Technical documents on Environment issues. As a lecturer in one of Nigeria premier Universities, he has several research reports and scientific articles to his credit. He served as Advisor/Expert and Consultant to International and Regional Organizations like UNEP, UNIDO, African U n i o n C o m m i s s i o n a n d A f r i c a I n s t i t u t e .He is widely published and specialized in project conceptualization, design, planning and management and manpower development.

An environmental expert with over 8years experience driving partnership opportunities in the Nigeria Recycling industry. Currently serving as Adviser and Consultant to the Nigeria Ministry of Environment, other Government agencies, communities and a promoter of the Nigeria Environmental Summit. First Western Recycling has been working with UK Trade & Investment Energy Team in Nigeria over 4years providing support to UK companies interested in the Energy/ Sustainability sector. They are currently working on a metal recycling project aimed to establish across 6 geo political zones of Nigeria.

Dr. Waleed Montasser is a Chartered Waste Manager and Chartered Environmentalist with over 15 years in environmental, wastes and resources management as well as circular economy. Dr.Montasser has worked with various wastes and environmental organisations in the UK such as DEFRA, WRAP and internationally with UNIDO, HP and Egyptian Environmental Affairs Agency (EEAA).Waleed has been working in research projects in relation circular economy, such as The ReBus projects (Resource Efficient Business Models) (a Life+ funded project) and currently is the coordinator to Circular Economy Working Group at RESURBE Project (2014-2016). RESURBE project is supported by UNISCO Chair on Sustainability, and aims to help facilitate knowledge to government and universities on resilience of cities. Waleed is currently now part of E-Waste Extended Producer responsibility working group for Nigeria with stakeholders such as HP, DELL, UNIDO and NESREA. The group aims to enhance the e-waste management in Nigeria. Waleed is currently working on consultancy tasks in Morocco and Nigeria in relation to wastes management and resource efficiency. Waleed published in various national and international conferences as well as per reviewed journal (e.g. Wastes Management, Resources, Conservation and Recycling). Waleed has a BSc. in Food Science and Technology, MSc. Environmental Pollution Science and PhD in Waste Management.
