NORWAY’S NORTHERN LIGHTS Rediscover your sense of wonder Magical, mysterious and mesmerising ‒ a visit to Northern Norway in winter is a holiday like no other. An array of fantasy landscapes, invigorating activities and spellbinding natural marvels await. Northern Norway is one of the best places in the world to see the Northern Lights ‒ a stunning show of streams, columns and swirls of ever-changing light. Tromsø ‒ the region’s main city ‒ is the ideal starting point for a visit to the region. A lively university town, it boasts a number of hotels, bars and restaurants serving traditional Norwegian food. Go husky dog sledding, join a Northern Lights safari and visit the stunning Arctic Cathedral. Alternatively, travel to Alta in the far north ‒ spend a night in the Alta Igloo hotel, go ski-dooing, husky dog sledding and experience the culture of the indigenous Sami people.Northern Norway is easily accessible from the UK which is only four hours by air from London. For further information on how to plan your trip visit www.visitnorway.co.uk

HURTIGRUTEN authentic coastal voyages A Hurtigruten voyage will take you closer to the stunning scenery and fascinating culture of the Norwegian coast. Our ships have been sailing along these iconic shores since the inaugural voyage back in 1893, so we know this coastline better than anyone. Over the years we have become an integral part of everyday life for the people and communities that we serve, carrying guests , cargo and even the daily post quickly and safely between 34 picturesque, isolated ports, towns and cities from Bergen in the south to Kirkenes on the Russian border. In the winter on board a Hurtigruten ship in the pitch-blackness of the Arctic Circle’s night sky, untainted by artificial light is the best way to experience the Northern Lights, we offer a wide selection of voyages and a programme of exciting winter excursions including dog-sledging, snowmobiling and even nights in the Snow Hotel. To book, order a brochure or for more information, please call 020 8846 2666, visit www.hurtigruten.co.uk or see your local travel agent.
