Smart people understand there’s more tolearning than just what’s in the books.

That’s why, at NSCC, we value the student experience — meaning

everything that takes place inside and outside the classroom.

No Shortage of Things To Do

You’ll find there’s no shortage of things to do. Some activities are

academically related, like special-interest learning communities (see Learn

More), honor societies, and clubs for certain majors. Others are for people

with specific interests, such as the Film Club (for movie buffs) and the

Performing Arts Council (for theater, dance, and music aficionados). Still

others are just for fun — Surfriders Club, anyone?

Join In and Have Fun

All of these offerings are to make your time at NSCC more enjoyable and

meaningful. By getting involved, you’ll make new friends. You’ll develop

leadership skills, like planning and organizing. Most of all, you’ll have a good

time and feel like you’re part of the NSCC community. And research shows

all that leads you to have a better classroom experience. What’s not to love?
